Shaolin Trailer + Bo rai cho

I deserve a gold medal for proving a lot of people wrong about f!r3 g0d ru kng.

On a serious note, since I've been trolling TRMK with that too much regarding fire god Liu Kang, seeing his trailer is the hypest I've been.

The thing is: while you may be right, it was unnecessary because it was not about being right or wrong, it was just about discussing a possibility. And it was a possibility. I'm actually excited that it seems like he isn't anything but a normal character now, because that means there's the possibility that the actual boss is indeed a surprise.

So... we just saw Special Forces invading the Netherrealm, and Revenant Liu Kang defending Quan Chi from attackers.

Looks like the resurrections happen after Quan Chi's defeat, not Shinnok's. Raiden's chapter? Scorpion's?

Liu Kang says "You do not deserve to rejoin us." Who could he be talking to? A former Revenant? Sub Zero? Scorpion? Jax?

But didn't Kung Lao say something along the lines of "I serve Shinnok"?

I think it's still unclear when exactly they'll be resurrected. I have a feeling it's not right after Quan Chi's or Shinnok's defeat. I even think that the dialogue with Bo Rai Cho was AFTER that (but that's just a guess).

Or did you mean that Quan Chi will be defeated after Shinnok, later? Nevertheless I think that something else will cause the resurrections (I don't even see how they would go back to life just by defeating Quan Chi or Shinnok?).

If it's in story, that could again point to Scorpion (who is midway through his redemption).

But it could just be intro dialogue for a fight.

The camera pans right up to his face like no other intro does, which is a lot more cinematic. It likely is in story mode.

That is precisely what I meant. Shinnok goes in chapter 1, and Quan Chi retreats to the Netherrealm where his Revenants defend him from the SF who want to shut him down along with his boss.

I've speculated before that Scorpion is an ideal character for chapter 2, because he's already been introduced, we know that important things happen to him in this time, and because following him through time jumps would introduce us to Takeda. So this makes some sense to me.

Nevertheless I think that something else will cause the resurrections (I don't even see how they would go back to life just by defeating Quan Chi or Shinnok?).

Definitely. If defeating Quan Chi was enough, then Jade would be back, too.

Did you guys notice that the projectiles that were taking down the helicopters on chapter one were exactly like Liu Kang's?

Maybe he was there shooting the helicopters while Scorpion and Sub-Zero were taking down the main crew.

About both, I think Quan Chi is the one that holds the control of them.

Why does zombie Kung Lao look old? He shouldn't have aged in that form...

I actually thought he was clearly younger. I mean, he doesn't have facial hair (and MKX already showed us that facial hair is a MUST for looking older. lol) and the overall design is different. They showed his older version, but that was the back from dead KL.

Bo Rai Co looks much more fit. Good for him!

Liu Kang looks like a badass. I hope that this is a sign of him becoming more of an anti-hero in this game.

I still have some kind of feeling that the whole Shang Tsung become good thing, and Liu Kang becoming bad thing might become true, what if Shang Tsung lost his powers for good since he lost them in MK9, and everyone on the bad side abandoned him, and the only one to help him was Bo Rai Cho? Ever since I saw that ending I was a fan of it I thought that reversal was quite fascinating.

So what's up with the Liu, Lao, Raiden vs. Tarkatans scene?

Is that post NRW, or a flashback to Shaolin Monks when Liu/Lao went to rescue the captured shaolin?

If it's post-NRW, then Liu and Lao have been resurrected and they are still on missions with Raiden. So why is Raiden complaining about having lost them in the trailer?

Maybe he is complaining before Shinnok's attack or maybe he is remembering how fond he is of the shaolins.

The scene could be from MKII events, but since Raiden wasn't with them (he was with Johnny), that could be in the first years of the resurrection.

All it takes is 1 person who wasn't on the unconfirmed "leaked" roster, to make you look ridiculous for auto-believing.

and if it turns out to be true, you still have no proof that "leaked" roster wasn't just a educated guess.

calm down with shoving that leaked roster crap down people's throats.

Except I didn't auto-believe anything. I looked at the evidence and came to a logical solution.

If you don't like my opinion, I'm more than happy for you to block me :)
