Don't got any personal beef, but I should've clarified myself and should've mentioned the extremist ones would pick this situation up and run with it. I do agree that a lot of shit shouldn't be stood for, but where we disagree is that we're entering an era where socially every little thing must not have a hint of prejudice, even if there's none intended. For example, I know the argument for the people against "man up", but I don't see any sexism implied into asking a man to admit they messed up in a situation and to "man up" and admit it. Now, if you mean "man up" is derogatory in regards to men aren't allowed to have feelings or get emotional, I totally agree. Like I said, I believe in the context of phrasing.
 
Yeah, basically, Cage's first chapter he fights with two revenants goodies... if I counted them correctly. With such a few variety of bad guys, that was meant to happen. I surely hope they introduce a bunch of evil guys as DLC.

Those 2 actually survived the events of MK9, as well.

Anyways, Johnny and Sonya have been as obvious for MKX as Raiden and Quan Chi, due to the end of MK9, and all of this butthurt is hilarious.

I didn't want them back and i was disappointed two. But people are disappointed two with sonya and cage and all the parents. So it is the same thing

Change is never clean. I do think "man up" is derogatory because more times than not, that statement has been used against me when I was feeling really down as if my problems shouldn't affect me in the slightest. And manning up to admit that you're wrong. Well... with all due respect, since when was honesty within the realm of masculinity? Why is that... manning up?

Someone mentioned something about free speech. I personally don't believe free speech is real except in ideal and it's obviously practiced sssooooorrrrta but I do believe there is CLASS speech though and when we talk about free speech, we have to ask, "Well... who is this speech for, exactly?" My argument would be that ALL speech has a class character to it. Which is a good question to ask because it can help, if anything navigate where hate speech and dogwhistle language is situated and help, not so much censor it, but deny the service of a stage to those that have the right to not "just deal" with such speech. I mean... it's not censored now and overt racist speech is popularly and rightfully looked down upon. Most people would agree that such speech isn't tolerated anymore and those that use it usually quickly get informed by the populous how much of a shitlord they're being. That's pretty good. We can only hope such trends continue. They might go so far as to eliminating what you and I might consider innocuous speech, but in return, if we were to LISTEN to them as well, they do in fact have a lot of stuff worth hearing out and hopefully their more salient words can be respected and included within the zeitgeist.

Damn it... I'm really not trying to derail the conversation on this. The subject is much too big to cover here.

There are people here like sub one whining that because of those 2 characters he will not get the game?

2 characters are stopping people from getting what looks to be an otherwise stellar game?

Well, I guess those people aren't really fans if 2 characters stop them from getting a game.
That's some really weak shit.
2 characters that I didn't like have never stopped me from getting an MK game, EVER, and they won't now either.

There's a HUGE difference between not liking something / being disappointed at something and whining to the point that you won't be getting the game because of it.
I did the first and expressed my disappointment with those 2 returning from the dead, but they sure as hell aren't stopping me from picking up an otherwise excellent game.
 
Sonya and Johnny were never among my favorites, more on the netral zone (I hated Johnny for a while, for no reason).

MK9 already gave me a better feeling about them, but I'm having a huge good impression of them on MKX.

I'm really glad they are back. A much better approach on them.

Sonya is looking flawless.

If you can't find enough to be excited about in MKX so far, then I feel bad for you, because you're just letting your negativity keep you from enjoying what looks to be a stupidly good game.

Anybody on here saying they arent getting the game because of 2 characters are just looking for attention. Dont feed the trolls. But anyways, cant wait to hear some opening dialogue from Johnny. Him and Cassie are straight up hilarious.....heressss Johnny!!!

Agreed, but in that case, then they should take their money back and not buy the game, like they said that they would and let the rest of us enjoy the game.

I've specifically said hundreds of times that I don't care if Johnny and Sonya are playable or get killed or whatever, that said, those 2 are obvious for MK like Raiden and Quan Chi.
Whether you give 2 shits for them or not (like me, who doesn't care either way), there is much more in MKX to be grateful for and enjoy in MKX than not, as [MENTION=18661]p.W[/MENTION] said.

I hope more games use likeness of big name stars. Kojima is using Norman Reedus for Silent Hills. Including these stars would make a larger audience.
 
When Kitana got revealed, there was an image that made her look identical to Chyna. I don't mind seeing real people be resembled in these games. Not like literally identical though.
