i don't care for sub zero's unmasked alt... looks old with the goatee... lol.

He is older, though. He probably came back to life 5 years into the game, and this scene takes place 20 years after that.

I don't actually, Scorpion is a wraith keep it that way, same as Reptile is a saurian. We don't need any more humans.

"Wraith" isn't a species, though, it's a state of being. He's a wraith of a human.

I like it. The character has to evolve and grow, it's hard to do that as a vengeance-obsessed skull-faced monster.

Have to say: I think Shinnok is the final boss.

He is imprisioned in the Amulet.

I think he will be playable and we will have to beat him.

The only thing that does not make me sure is the red cloud coming out of the Shaolin Temple and covering the whole sky.

At 1;23 in the trailer, when Sindel attacks Cassie, who is the girl attacking Takeda? Doesn't look like anybody I know? I thought it was Kitana but doesn't look like her

That might be Jade. I initially thought it was Kitana, but I did a double take.

As far as I can hear, she says something about (her?) village, all the battle things related with the emperor (Shao Kahn?) happens in the middle of it, so the people who lived there paid the consequences of that battle.

What she says about the Talisman?

I'm pretty sure that is the zombified Kitana, while she was dead and at Quan Chi's hands. Or maybe Jade, but she is more to blue than to green.

Cassie, Ferra/Tor, Jacquie, Erron Black, D'vora, Takeda, Kung Jin... that's at least 7 new characters. One more and I'd be pleased as punch. Right now, I'm at least pleased as pumpkins for that many new characters.

Well bring your pleasure meter from pumpkin to punch cuz u missed a new character. Kotal makes 8.

What she says about the Talisman?

She says that the Emperor (?, she is chinese, but she wasn't alive on the War on Heaven and the Netherrealm War is modern, so no Chinese Emperor, but...?) got desperate. And those caught in the middle paid the price (maybe for having the talisman?).

Funny that she mentions that it has a jewel in the center so Raiden could figure it's the Amulet :laugh:

It's better for the character actually. Scorpion was ridiculously irrelevant in the old timeline because of his "curse". He couldn't rest until he got revenge. But because he was so popular, they made it so he was searching for revenge every god damned game.

Those guys on one of the live streams just told us that one of the characters we've seen, was wearing an alternate costume. I thought they were talking about Ermac, now i'm thinking it's Sub-Zero.

Another small thing, two parts of the music in the trailer is from the kove stage and the portal stage, so I hope that last piece is actually from an arena because that sounded great, it could definitely be round 2 or 3 for one of the arenas we haven't seen.

I really enjoyed that costume. I wouldn't mind if it's his main, he is looking SICK and completely inspired from MK3!
