i wouldn't want spawn using guns. i know he does in the comics but for a fighting game he has so much better creative potential than that. his body is a living weapon with cool powers so using guns would seem a bit of a waste.

special moves
chain whip: his chains whip out like a cat-o-nine tails whip cracking in 3 quick hits low,medium,high the last hit send the opponent flying to the back of the screen, this is a good move to keep people at a distance but punishable if blocked
ground chain trap: he kneels down and lies a chain across the floor like a trap, keep the button held down and he keeps the chain there till you let go of the button, when you let go of the button he flicks the chain upwards into the air. if the opponents characters feet are within range of the end of the chain when you let go of the button they will be sent flinging into the air as a pop up. there are 3 ranges for the chain close, medium and far depending on which command you input.
although this move is quite easy to dodge and while performing it you are wide open to teleport attacks dont let that put you off. with good judgement of distance and timing you can time this move for when an opponent is landing from jumps or air attacks to land on the chain and be flung into the air, just remember to let go of the button at just the right time
Cloak choke: a mid range attack, the cloak lunges forwards and grabs the opponent choking them then slams them to the floor
Battle Axe: his cloak transforms into a huge axe behind him then he swings it over his head to deliver a huge deadly blow. this has a long start up time so its hard to land but takes a lot of damage off the opponent
magic projectile: just a regular green projectile but does not take energy off the opponent but if you land it your opponents EX meter drains a little bit and your EX meter gains more. use this wisely as it takes energy from spawns damage meter everytime he lands it.
(fun fact: Spawns magic has a limited power supply. Each time Spawn uses his magic his energy drains Consequently he relies primarily on his costume's natural abilities or weapons rather than the magical abilities in combat and uses magic sparingly)
variation 1: Unchained - he uses his chains for moves like whipping, tripping, he can also protrude the chains through the floor and up out the other side for medium and long range sneaky attacks and juggles
Enhanced moves for this variation:
chain whip: He whips the chains like normal but the last hit holds the opponent in the air upside down while more chains come up through the ground and smack them around a bit
ground chain trap: the enhanced version of this move has 3 chain traps on the ground all at once at different ranges so its harder to dodge them all
cloak choke: his cloak lunges forwards and grabs the opponent holding them up in the air then hit the punch buttons fast and the chains will lash out a fast deadly combo on the opponents stomach then slam them to the floor
variation 2: cloak & Dagger - he uses his cloak for various attacks turning it into sharp weapons and daggers with specifically angled pokes and prods and can also reflect projectiles and do parry attacks. also has a move where he crouches down and shields himself under the cloak while it turns into a spikey dome of sharp daggers good for against teleports and jumpers.
Enhanced moves for this variation:
the enhanced cloak choke now becomes a huge demon claw like hand, the cloak reaches out transforming into a huge claw and grabs the opponent squeezing them you hear the bones break then it slams them to the ground.
variation 3: dark magic - in this variations spawn uses portals and his magic ability.
Portals: he can place portals into the background similar to kung laos hat trick version. you can have 2 portals in the background at any one time and the portals can be placed at any height, any move spawn does through one portal comes out the other portal so whenever an opponent is stood infront or jumps infront of any portal they can be hit by spawns attacks.
The cloak choke can be done through the portals.
The chains can be sent through one portal and come out the other portal and strike the opponent or pull them through the portal
projectiles can be sent through the portals
magic: spawns projectile does not take damage off the opponent but in this variation land it once and the opponent will have a green glowing orb around their left hand. land the projectile a second time and the opponent will have another green glowing orb around their right hand also. with both opponents hands glowing green now the magic spell is set so you can input certain commands to do different magic attacks.
command 1: crusifiction - hit this command at any time while the spell is set and spawn stops the opponents dead in their tracks and forces the green orbs to repel one another spreading the opponents arms apart leaving them powerless and under your control. while in this state you have a few seconds where you can move your opponent around the screen and position them where you want, so if you have some portals opened you can set your opponent up to drop into them
command 2: drainer - hit this command to start draining your opponents EX meter and give it to yourself to enhance your own EX meter
command 3: blinder - do this command to make the orbs explode in a big green flash. which stuns the opponent by blinding them leaving them open for you to follow up with a combo. also a good opportunity to land his battle axe move since it has a slow start up time and is usually hard to land.
remember however using spawns magic for any of the 3 magic commands will drain your meter slightly but it is the best way to get combos and land some of his deadliest blows so use it wisely.
X-ray his cloak lunges forwards turning into a huge claw like hand and grabs the opponent lifting them into the air and squeezing them and crushing them you see and hear the bones break. then his chains whip the opponents body puncturing the internal organs then he slams them to the floor.
