I did not see Rain coming when he was mentioned nor Mavado. Rain made sense given the Osh-Tekk's weakness to darkness. Mavado was just flat random.

I knew it when as soon as Kotal ordered his father to go after Reiko that he was going to be the "major loss" for Kotal. I remember some people thought Erron Black would be the loss.

Mavado is far from random. In the last comic they referenced that they made an alliance with the Red Dragon.

Raiden will be this entities host. But anybody's guess is as good as mine, but when Raiden plunged one of those cursed daggers into his arm....OOOOOOOO!!!!

I also forgot about Sub Zero getting cut by one of those daggers too. Sub Zero may become corrupted as well.

Whether the character is playable or unplayable has been twisted up and down and all around. I'm not sure what he actually said.

Maybe there is 2 versions of raiden. the kamidogu infected Raiden is the unplayable Final boss.

man im really hoping for Skarlet. she has so much potential gameplay and story wise with this whole Blood demon mystery.

I was referring to how I did not expect him to show up. Its random, because any of the Red Dragon characters could have popped up at that point. I guess they chose him to go in that placeholder position.

Personally, I'm not fond of him. At all.

It was either gonna be Mavado, or Daegon. And Daegon is not the type who'd show up because Reiko needed him. He'd send Mavado for that.
 
Rain haters being funny as usual... and Rain being awesome as usual...

About Mavado. I really don't see what's the problem you all have with Mavado. Unlike what someone said two pages before, he is NOT a copy of Kabal - he simply had his hookswords, which he doesn't actually need for gameplay purposes. Mavado's special moves are some of the most strange and unique in MK universe, and he doesn't have a projectile which is always a plus for me. Look, hate a character all you want, but at least play with him to know exactly how he plays like instead of making claims that make no sense whatsoever.

I am actually not a fan of Mavado, I'm totally indifferent to him...

About Reiko. I too unfortunately don't see him in X, but he's really good in the comics, so I think he does have a chance of being DLC. I hope they seriously reconsider him for X with the time they have until launch...
 
I will never forgive NRS if they don't put Reiko in MKX after making him this awesome "Evil Batman of Outworld" with a side of Mileena's booty. We need the epic Kotal vs Reiko war in the actual game.
Vote Reiko for the 2015 Outworld elections.

Reiko is really getting popular with the comics I think. Maybe this is his "Deception" like that game was for Ermac. I can totally see him getting higher in the popularity polls.

As of now we know that:

Kotal is allied with D'Vorah, Reptile, Ferra/Torr, Erron Black and supposely Earthrealm heroes.
Mileena is allied with Reiko, Goro, Rain and the Red Dragon clan.

I think Mileena does need some of her allies to be in X (we only have Goro who's DLC). I am pretty sure that the "main" part after the Netherrealm War in the Story Mode will be the Rise and Fall of Kotal Kahn, so we need Mileena and her faction in the game too me thinks...
 
It's just that right now Kotal is ruling Outworld, and everyone who wants him out of the throne is on the same side to bring him down, for the purpose of the civil war.
But it's pretty clear that they have different motives and objectives. Goro doesn't respect Mileena, and Reiko has his own plans. I wouldn't be surprised if Rain wanted the throne for himself, he's ambitious and he thinks he should rule due to being descendant of a God. "Team Mileena" just has the common objective of removing Kotal from the throne.
