Frost for MKX

frost was fighting on the bridge in the background in MK9 so the character model was already made probably with intention of being a playable bonus character in mk9 like kenshi (who was also fighting on the bridge) but they probably ran out of space or time or both to include her properly in MK9 or intentionally decided to keep her back for MK10 and gave us scarlet instead. who knows

recently ive seen MK fans online both male and female concerned that MKX might not include enough female characters, although it looks that way at the moment personally i think as the announcements unravel eventally we will be looked ata well balanced out male to female roster but my only concern is what type of characters they will be.

i like the outworld female Ninja type characters but so far none have been revealed. so far theres just 2 female fighters and cassy is just human, and dvorah is a creature type. so theres no ninja chicks so far. also we know kitana and jade wont be in coz they died. its pretty safe to say mileena will be in so at least theres 1 ninja chick but id be sad if mileena was the only ninja chick and the rest were all either human like cassy/sonya or creature monsters like dvorah/sheeva.

this is why i would welcome frost anyday. although subzero already has 3 variations of ice moves i dont think thats a problem. you could easily give another character a completely different set of ice moves that are still original and unique. also it would be a good selling point for both male and female newcomers to the MK franchise to pick up this game and have the option to choose a male or female character each with unique ice powers. MK9 had 2 subzero type characters with very different playability so why not.

even though it has been denied very early on in development that frost is not in MKX i really believe frost will be in MKX

either way it would just be nice to some ninja chicks up in this place already! :))))))))

bring on the Ninja chicks !!

That is extremely unlikely.
There was a ton of characters fighting on bridges and in the horizon of other arenas... That's what we call Easter Eggs... They are just little cameo appearances.
NRS has always done this, they even mention it in MK9 interviews leading to the release of the game.

yeah but kenshi was an easter in the background, so was scarlet and both ended up playable.
in early MKs jade was an easter egg, so was smoke and so was reptile. they all ended up playable.

btw whats that anime with the arm ripping?
 
That could also be argued the other way.
Daegon, Sareena, Reiko and Tanya were also in the backgrounds of MK9, and those 4 never made it to MK9.
 
Yo guys. Just a small heads up. Tomorrow I will start Frost petition. I pretty much gathered everything I need for it.

Now before someone starts causing Havik... pfu.. Havoc, I want to say that this thread nor pictures purpose is to be shown off as my artistic skills or were made for the sake of fan fiction story or something like that. No.

This thread and upcoming petition purpose will be to make Frost come back in MKX. NOT as the original or similar Frost which existed in original timeline before MK9, but as a fresh revamped version which wouldn't be labeled as Sub-Zero's copy (and again no, just because she uses same element doesn't make her automatically a copy paste).

Pictures you have seen above and other media which I will be putting later, both in petition and this thread will be used as EXAMPLES to show that Frost can be made into completely unique character which could have 3 COMPLETELY UNIQUE variations(which wouldn't be anything close to sub zero style)

Now I am not pushing this specific design of her(of course it would be nice if she were to be made like that). Just again. Petition is just for Frost to be included into MKX.

I am also going more for as DLC character. I don't really see any space for her in MKX main story roster.

I don't care if they "work" differently. They are both doing a slide across the ground with their feet which knocks the opponent off his feet. I don't care that one of them makes the opponent fall backward and the other makes the opponent fall over you. They shouldn't both have that move. It is not original.

I totally agree with you here. Not only it is iconic move for sub zero, it is also already taken in MKX by sub. There is no need for similar moves. Same with freezing too. There is like gabazillion moves she can do with ice which would be Unique to her own instead of using something from Killer Frost or Sub Zero arsenal. (no offence to [MENTION=17744]Elias6999[/MENTION], but I just really dislike whole Killer Frost design and move set)

For example:

If to move forward/dash towards opponent she could simply make ice block emerge from the ground and hit her in the back, sending her flying towards the opponent and landing some heavy hit.

cool sketches.. is there any reason for the teeth mask design? or is it just coz it looks cool? or did some official past designs have that element? (sorry i dont know the frost character at all) your design it looks good but the mask is very mileena like. even though its just a mask and not actual teeth its still very mileena like thats my only concern

I have no problem if frost can freeze people. sharing 1 move isn't bad if it makes sense. but if she can freeze you, do the slide, do the ice clone, and freeze the ground then I say its crap. how come I never hear you all whining about sonya doing liu kang's bicycle kick or kitana's zip punch. I also don't hear you all complaining that reptile and smoke can both turn invisible. I think you guys are just picking favorites.
