I'm not passionate enough about Raiden and his status as protector of earthrealm to have a debate about it.
What i want to know is,
Will Liu Kang still be mad?
He was in the wrong. How could he even question Raiden's status as protector when Raiden was obviously right about "he must win"
Is he gonna say "yeah, you were right, but i still don't like you"...

The boring Scorpion vengeance plot can still be around and it doesn't revolve around the whole same BS Scorpion / Sub-Zero rivalry that we've been fed for 22 years.

Cyber Scorpion, the name alone sounds like a joke. If there was some sort of DLC pack that turned the "ninja" characters into cyborgs, that would be kind of cool. But to have him become a cyborg just because we've seen Sub-Zero go through with it, no. I personally didn't mind Cyber Sub-Zero because I thought it was cool. Despite that I am not that big of a fan for Scorpion, I really don't want to see this come through. There's no need for it. And to have a reason behind it other than it's just a joke costume, I'd really would kind of look down on the writers with that.
Why would a character that we've known for twenty-something years, who we know the entire backstory to, suddenly get changed into a cyborg? You could write so many fan fiction stories about how this could be possible, but the thing is, it wouldn't make any goddamn sense to throw that into the story, to a character that has no connection to the Automation Program. (Even if he was to fall to some other program or whatever that turns people into cyborgs, still no.)
If Cyber Scorpion ever comes real, it should just be because it came from a costume pack and nothing more.
Now, this female Scorpion business. No to that as well. Sure, many could say, "But we have a female Sub-Zero, why shouldn't Scorpion not get a female version as well?" Here's two reasons.
1.) Frost was supposed to be in Mortal Kombat 2, but for whatever reason the developers decided against it and instead debuted Kuai Liang. She was later thrown in Deadly Alliance. She has been around since Mortal Kombat 2, just never as a playable character. There has nothing been said that Scorpion was to have a female counterpart, so why start now because we have Frost?
2.) Her story alone talks about why she's in. A student in Kuai's new Lin Kuei who has similar powers. We have two characters that can produce similar abilities from one another. What would the female Scorpion possess? Fire? Do I need to throw out how many characters have fire powers? You could say that she would possess some other power... But then she wouldn't be a female Scorpion, she'd be a completely different character altogether with different moves that has nothing to do with Scorpion.
So no to both ideas.

There are only 3 cyber ninjas I recognize: mustard, ketchup and smoke.
Cyber SZ was a joke and no other ninjas need be transformed.
I do like the idea of a female scorpion or as Nasty stated: Tanya being killed and turned into a specter.

This. I want this to happen. Noob is still technically Sub Zero. (given we don't know who this new Subby is.) Seeing a conflict like this in Netherrealm would make a great story.

On the real, though, I don't want the same repeated story for Sub-Zero & Scorpion in MKX.
Have them bury the hatchet and kill Quan, and let's move on.

Exactly.
I highly doubt Scorpion will disappear from the series once he gets his revenge. Its highly unlikely. It would be fascinating to see what they do with him after his quest for revenge. For the first time we could see him do something new.

Hmm... I´m not against at all... Well... maybe the Cyborg one is a bad idea.... but a Female Scorpion could be a great idea.....
The difference could be simple as hell.... Taking aside Frost who´s only a bad copy from Subby, Scorpion does have a Female partner, who is also dead, and who could also be filled with the same reveange feelings: HIS WIFE!!!!!.... You talked about the poor development of Scorp, and yes... you´re totally right, his story hasn´t changed at all, but this could be an interesting twist... I mean, imagine both of them seeking reveange, or maybe a Shirai Ryu army, or something like that!!!.....
But, yeah, I don´t see this coming, Ed would be really jealous of Scorp´s wife, and that´s why he prefers to keep her dead!!!! :bunny:

While i wouldn't be opposed to a Female Ninja Spectre, I don't want them to constantly make cyborg or female "Scorpion" counterparts to characters. it seems repetitive & lazy IMO!
While i didn't mind Frost i don't want them to make a Female Scorpion bc then it just seems like a rip off
Im down for a female spectre as long as she isn't a carbon copy and has a purpose.

there's an idea.... similar to Quan Chi resurrecting Sindel and then she turned on Shao kahn. Quan Chi could resurrect Scorpions dead wife then turns on Quan Chi or better yet, turns on Scorpion himself.
New updated storyline. Keeps thing relevant right?
Just tired of the 25 year old storyline between scorps 'n subby (who also needs new story lines btw)

To be fair, the Scorpion and Sub-Zero thing was settled back in MK2 and MK4, it was only brought back up because MK9 was a reboot.

Now guys just chill i'm not suggesting that i'm all for this but...
The only way i see the storyline still continuing after the events of MK9 is if a deal is made between quan chi and scorpion's dead wife and she becomes a wraith similar scorpion.
(Reasons being... who the hell knows maybe it's just more lies to create another powerful ally/pawn.)
Now in the extremely unlikely event this transpires in future games i would prefer she have entirely different move-set/abilities
(thus debunking a "female scorpion" character anyway lol... damn now i'm just ranting.)
Not even going to bother explaining just how ridiculously stupid the idea of a cyborg scorp is... May that idea burn away quickly and painless.

Ending mk4 where scorpion realized SZ isnt Bi Han thus becoming his protector is confirmed not canon. Also uncanon is the ending where SZ and Scorpion team up to become the new deadly alliance.
So the same tired vengeance storyline holds true.
** Scorpion did receive a story twist in Deception where he replaced lui kang a earth realm savior, blessed by the elder gods, whatever happened to that storyline? You'd think Boon would have continued that!!**
