Roster Speculation

Back on topic:
I'd like to see Fujin, Tanya, Reiko and Havik on the MK X main roster, especially now with 3 variations.

Yes boon talk about Johnny oh yes lol

I doubt he will reveal anything at pax..he's just mentioning Johnny cage and that's cool enough for me.

Next reveal will be a villain. If Ed sticks to his word.

Lol didn't notice Kotal Kahn is voiced by english and original voice actor of Green Lanter, Phill LaMarr.

I knew I have heard before that "you have no chance, Thunder God" somewhere...

Wait...a voice in my head saying "this is none of my concern" keeps going...didn't he voiced Sub-Zero?

Yep like I said earlier Ed has done everything but literally show us the Johnny cage/Sonya video..

I wasn't even saying that from this particular post that he was saying Johnny was confirmed.I just said that it's cool that he's talking about johnny .

If you've ever played Metal Gear Solid 2 or Metal Gear Solid 4, Phil LaMarr is also the voice of Vamp.
That's where I recognized Kotal Kahn's voice from.

I was like "Wait, THAT'S VAMP!!!"

Quan Chi is also an MK9 character, so he technically also falls under THAT category too.
As of MK9, he's part of the NEW MK1 thru UMK3 roster. ;)
Quan Chi REALLY debuted in an episode of Defenders of the Realm, which aired for one season around the time UMK3 and its derivative, MKT were ported to consoles, and was produced by Threshold Entertainment (which produced all MK film and television media in the 90s). One year later, he made his official debut in Mythologies and MK4.

Thus far, Quan Chi is the only character originating from Threshold-produced MK media to make an official appearance in ANY MK game. That's why I think we need Art Lean to make an official appearance. Quan Chi did ascend to major villain status after all...

This game's general look and theme got me thinking. Some 'War Gods' characters would fit perfectly in this game! Tho not many younger MK fans have even heard of it... Anubis ftw

It's not even Twitter, though.
Aside from that Tweet, Ed has hinted at Sonya and Johnny being in MKX various times, off of Twitter.
IGN, Gamescom, Giant Bomb.

I was taking about images in general and tweets on Ed Boon's page. People think Ermac or Noob will be next because Ed Boon tweets fan art of them. Ed Boon likes good fan art and retweeting them helps the artist gets more exposure. Most of his tweets are joke post, so I always take his tweets 50/50. Cyrax is not officially out unless stated otherwise in a legit tweet or a interview.

War Gods was cool some 18 years ago but it wouldn't fit MK at all, definitely not Anubis and we got better cyborgs than CY-5. Kotal Kahn could be compared to Tak but I still say he resembles Tekken's Ogre a lot more.

You know an Egyptian themed character would be an awesome addition, you know maybe the could make an Anubis or Ra character work

Seriously? Any of those characters would fit perfectly in the game, and anyone whose played war gods would agree. Or maybe I just don't want a game of freaks with corny designs newly introduced in a game I liked most for its nostalgia. Would buy a War Gods remake well before MKX.
