Frost for MKX

Well they didn't involve all characters in story with MK9. Well at least you mean involved as appeared in the story.

Just appearing in the story isn't enough.
a huge problem with MK9's story was the fact that characters had no place....they were just there to be there

I was actually very unhappy with how many of the MK9 characters were treated story-wise. Kano, Reptile, Sheeva and Baraka were all a waste.
 
Yeah ok I agree on that point. Story wise a lot of characters suffered. This time maybe we will get more character to try out if story is going to jump around and not stay linear.

But really I would be just happy with a story for Frost which makes SOME KIND OF SENSE and just fun to play. I mean dlc characters ain't gonna get their share in main story. As I reaaaaaallly doubt that Frost will make into the main roster.
 
Frost isn't an awful character. But she basically is a female Sub-Zero (regardless of how their moves differ) and there's better, more unique characters that could be in X instead.
 
Until now we have Bi-Han, Kuai Liang, Frost, an ancient Sub-Zero who taught Shujinko, and we can have now a new Sub-Zero.

I wonder if they weren't near extinction.

That's rather close minded of you Taj.

There are limitless things you can do with Ice, but you're gonna limit what she can do right off the bat w/o any hope for more creativity with Ice-powers.

There's nothing wrong with clone characters though.
Nearly every big fighting game series has them.


And god damnit she isn't even a clone!
Mario/Dr. Mario in Smash, those are clones
Lee/Violet in Tekken, more clones
Ken/Ryu in SFII, the original clones


But Frost is nothing like Sub-Zero in anything but theory. And even if she was, that's fine lol. It isn't anything new.
 
Frost is definitely not a clone. Honestly, it's a bit ignorant to even suggest it.

"She wears blue and black. She has ice powers. CLONE!"

Ugh. But what do I know...

The frequency of cryomancers is curious for an almost extinct race. You dump one, another rises.

I'll admit it is very close minded of me, but at the same time I do believe that the two iconic masked men of Mortal Kombat should have their unique abilities and them alone.

Sigh... Scorpion is iconic character but fire element is used by shang tsung, liu kang, sheeva. So much for unique. Unless you're counting his rope thingy. But we are talking about fire and ice. Cause Scorpion is known more for using fire than for his rope/chain.

I'm actually 100% with this MKX Sub-Zero being a new one.
While I'd rather have it be Bi-han or Kuai-Liang, Ed Boon also said that MKX would have cousins, sons and daughters.
Why can't this be a cousin to 1 of the 2 Sub-Zero brothers?
You do know thatBi-Han and Kuai-Liang also have a sister, right????

Scorpion's most iconic move is his spear with the "GET OVER HERE!!" tag-line.
If you gave that move and tag-line to a female character, yeah, I'd be pissed too.

There is so much more that can be done with fire characters (as has been done before in MK), just as there is so much more that can be done with ice, rather than just freezing.
