Frost for MKX

How about giving ALL of those abilities to Sub-Zero instead, while changing Frost's name and ridding her completely of ALL ice-based abilities?

Yeah that's what I am talking about. Cause I also don't want her to be the same as she was in MKDA, MKD or MKA... there she really feels like an option B. You want to play as male or female sub zero? (yes there are some differences but not enough to make her feel unique)
 
Ok because I kinda feel like it. Gonna brainstorm some ideas. (That's why I created this thread here).

So we know that Subzero uses weapons like swords, daggers, hammers.
Uses ice projectiles to freeze opponents.
Makes ice clones and can throw them.
Slides beneath opponents on ice.

So that's subzero.

Now with Frost (my ideas).

Ability to breath ice through mask.
Can create Ice knuckles on her fists for extra damage.
Can use ice to launch herself, slide (while standing up) towards enemy to cover zone quickly.
Slide towards opponent. Stop halfway and release ice clone from her body towards enemy. (Ok or if we want to be MORE innovative) instead of ice clone she launches a mass of ice sickles from her body.
She can teleport using ice (like we saw Sub zero match intro in mk9). Goes into ground and appears at opposite side.
Superman punch with ice knuckles (similar to Jax, but because he is dead I think we can do similar move). Enhanced attack of this would be her launching superman punch, punching enemy backwards and while he flies she grabs enemy by his leg, turns around smashes him into the ground.
 
I mean... don't get me wrong... The concept of Frost... the idea... I don't think it's necessarily bad. I kinda like a female cryomancer. And she doesn't look bad either lol.

When she made her debut I was a bit puzzled. I didn't expect it and didn't get it. But I gave it a chance, because I wanted to know more. I didn't think she was a mere copycat. I found her cool and mysterious.

But as time went by... by MK9 I got bored. Like...they froze her once... she got away... they froze her again... she got away again... going god knows where... and dying in armageddon. Like... WTF, Ed? That's it? Even one-night-stand-Sareena had a bigger impact on the story and Sub-Zero! That's just... lousy writing. And it upsets me. Therefore, at this point, you can call her Ice Slut and call it a day.

And honestly, if Ed includes a female Scorpion... like he's considering... then I'll seriously spam the crap outta him. Oh and yeah. This one can be called Hell Slut.

THIS. This is what I hate. She can be a really great character, but her story was so crap... I felt like repeating the same ending. Rewatched first and again the second ending of hers... just wat?
 
Yes I agree, her story fell short. I didn't mind her first ending, but to see it get repeated again I felt that was poor writing on their part. (I mean, it was nice to see Deadly Alliance still show off Mortal Kombat 4's-like endings where the characters lose in them.)

I'd rather see her be more on the good side than evil again if she's to return. I don't see her really being an evil character again. The thing with her being evil is... I don't see where she would actually fit. Others would probably say they don't see how she'd fit being good.

In the end, we have like what, twelve or more returning characters to see revealed to see if she's one of them?
 
I'd rather see a daughter of one of the iterations of Sub-Zero than Frost. Actually, now that I think about it, I see only ONE solution to this whole Frost crap; confirm her to be the sister of Bi-Han and Kuai Liang.

The fact that Frost was originally denied being the sister of Kuai Liang and Bi-Han did irreparable damage to her character BIG time. We know they had a sister. The confirmation of a "Sub-Zero with boobs and a vagina" was the golden opportunity to finally take that very sister off the milk carton and showcase her to the fans...except the stupid-ass writers apparently IGNORED the fact that there even was a sister, because I think they came out and said Frost was NOT the sister. That basically destroyed her credibility as a character.

TT you never cease to amaze me about your knowledge of the MK story.
Maybe it would have been okay if her powers came at a later age but from that post it said that the mother and sister live in the US.

Yeah that mask to me looks like a great start. The mask actually can move with her jaw. So she can easily open her mouth (with mask opening too) and breath some nice good old fashioned ice down the throat of unlucky fellow.

Just need to edit design a bit.

Yeah I did draw it. I don't really care if she will be in main roster, but at least as DLC she would be nice. So just gonna give out some ideas of mine... maybe, just maybe we could give some good diea to Nettherrealm to revamp Frost in a good way.
 
As if they'll listen to a forum who argues about women decency in a Kitana and Mileena thread.

I could settle for DLC if she isn't in story too.

Well ok good point :D. As for story yeah. No need to put her in main story at all. Just give her proper back story and make her fun to play.
