Raiden getting revealed at EVO

Pretty much everything you want from a Raiden! I'm glad despite all the new and different stuff in this new MK, some characters still feel classic! They're showing a very nice mix of old and new. Love it.
 
why do i have feeling he going to below kotal kahn in character slot and comicon is coming soon
Ed Boon, co-creator of the Mortal Kombat series, said on Giant Bomb’s E3 Day 3 wrap-up show (around the 31:00 mark) that new characters from the recently-announced Mortal Kombat X would be announced at Comic-Con, assuring the game would have some appearance at the convention.

C'mon, why does every character need a "redesign" every single time they do a new game? Look at Reptile, they absolutely ruined the character! Armageddon also ruined A LOT of old characters thanks to this "we need to keep them fresh and shiny" attitude.
 
Seems the announcer's the same from MK9.

Anyway, I'm kinda dissapointed they didn't try and create a new Raiden outfit this time around given both Scorpion and Sub Zero's major makeovers. Otherwise he looks pretty great.
 
I think this just made me like KOTAL KAHN more!!!

Edit : Just noticed Kotal Kahns laugh at 0:54 sounds likes shao kahns laugh and voice, maybe relation? or using same voice actor.
 
I love what they did with Raiden so far. Really digging his movesets especially the teleportation variation. Liking these variations because it always for so many different moves without it being in one set and making them overpowered

I'm just saying that Raiden's costume has been the same for almost the whole series (excluding alternate costumes and Dark Raiden). Repetition is good, but after a while, it just gets stale imo. I mean, look at Scorpion. He's had costume altercations and changes in the past and they still made him look good in them; there are plenty of other characters who have had costume changes and still looked fine as well, I'm just pointing out Scorpion as an example.

And I never said every character needed a redesign lol I just thought maybe after so many years, NRS might change up Raiden's appearance at least a little.

These are just aesthetic peeves, though - eye candy. It's just a little detail I observed, I could care less about it honestly. As long as the game plays fine and fun lol
 
I'm just going to say that this is the Raiden I've been waiting for in a very, very long time.

Dat hat though.
 
AMAZING!!! I think the outfit is awesome, who really needs a new design is Quan Chi. The guy has worn that same spiked harness since DA..
 
It was called, and it was revealed! Raiden enters the fray!
His look doesn't seem to be too different but it seems to be his best incarnation yet!
Maybe its his move-set but it looks like he is pulling out all the stops!
