Mortal Kombat X: Offsprings

Jade's a girl whose heart is filled with good emotions.

Unfortunately Syndel ripped it out so that's kind of out, unless they're gonna be dragging people from the Netherrealm, now. Except...

But you know what we haven't considered? Shang Tsung totally did a clone of Kitana as far back as MK2. It wouldn't be a stretch if someone worked up a clone of one or more characters. Maybe Raiden is all "crud I ran out of Defenders of the Realm! But maybe I can put a bit of what's left of Jax and Jade into a future warrior or something. "
 
I really hope only one of them comes back.
Preferably Johnny. Cassie is a lot more like Sonya, so Johnny would be more unique.
 
I don't mind offspring if they make sense. Creating a character who is Drahmin and Kira's child would be completely dumb. Characters that are already in existing relationships should have their kids in the game if NRS chooses to do so.

She's 50/50

So far, she doesn't act like Sonya at all, considering her fatality, and calling D'Vorah a maggot mouth.

Only her appearance resembles Sonya more, and even so, her facial features resemble Johnny as well.
 
Dont want to make its own thread for this but apparently Cassie Cage's x-ray is that she punches a male opponent in the balls so much/hard that his testicles explode. Gross/funny/ouch

Dope illustration! I think her name and costume should be more unique to her and less derivative of her parents (note how Cassie's costume really looks nothing like Johnny or Sonya's.) Otherwise that's a really cool idea! Maybe she could unite the Tarkatans and the Shokan, bringing them unity in Shao Khan's absence and ending their rivalry! Hell, it doesn't even need to be Baraka and Sheeva's child! A half Tarkatan/Half Shokan would be cool and immediately dramatic no matter who the parents are. Implies some kinda Romeo and Juliet story somewhere in the parents' history. Cool beans.
 
I hope they get these offsprings out of the way now. Otherwise it's going to be like pokemon with new baby Pokemon popping up every new game.
 
Ed mentioned that Cassie wasn't going to be the only descendant.
Maybe he was talking about Kotal Kahn, could be the new Sub-Zero or it could be another Kombat Kid

I wouldn't be surprised if NRS came up with something like either Bi-Han or Kuai-Liang impregnated Frost before the events of MK9, and now we have a new Sub-Zero (since MK X spans 25 years).
 
^That's the thing, I think Ed wants MKX to be like Street Fighter 3, only not as drastic.

Ed Boon: In my head at least, X has about three or four layers. X is the roman numeral for ten, which we're coincidentally on Mortal Kombat 10 which is a cool way to name it. We think of Next as in generational. Next generation consoles, next generation characters. Like Cassie might not be the only descendant in the roster. X is a way to brand it differently, to say it's not just a continuation from Mortal Kombat (2011).

This is what I took from it.
Aside from Sonya and Johnny who age withing the 25 year span, I think the others who come back will be neXt generation / descendants.
MK X Sub-Zero is another prime example (aside from Cassie) with 2 of the variations seeming to come from previous descendants (Bi-han and Kuai).

"Who's next?" seems to imply a generational reference, as in "Who will be the next generation?"

Kinda sorta like a Power Rangers thing, where each set of Rangers pass on the torch to the next. Only in MK, it's to offspring, descendents, etc. and the fan favourites will obviously still be there.
 
i really hope kobra and hsu hao's adopted child is in it. those guys really went through a lot of ups and down raising him. it'd be a shame if ed boon overlooked that story.

Yeah.
That's what I'm thinking too.

Steve Beran even said they were bringing back some favorites (in regards to characters that were killed off in MK9) in the video interview with him (0:49 mark).
