Lot's of interesting stuff happened in that segment. Each character seems to have three variations of the, selectable at the character select screen. Another interesting thing Boon mentioned regarding the MKX Boss, he said it as someone already existing in the MK universe but many fans won't see him coming, like a surprise of sorts. Im starting to wonder if we are the story is going to follow the MK4 timeline.

AT LEAST it is a sequel to MK9 and I smell the Dragon King returning... "a surprise returning bad guy" - Shinnok would not be a surprise, right?

Shinnok is the expected villain by most. But perhaps I was right when I said he'll end up once again being a background character observing the events from within the shadows.

Thats how many placeholders were on the select screen but I doubt that will be the final number or select screen

That could just be banter between them at a beginning of a fight hearkening back to a time period directly after MK2011.

I think its gonna be either Raiden or Liu Kang that is the final boss and I think we are going into Injustice territory again like how Superman was the final boss

super hyped with all the things they showed but.. I hope I'm wrong but if I saw correctly we're getting just 24 characters :| I don't mean to sound ungrateful, this mk just showed the tip of the iceberg and it seems to be the darkest and most brutal one up-to-date imo and I believe their experimenting with new characters will work but.. 24 characters seem to be too few :|

Doubt that is the final select screen too plain.

The storyline is set to last for 25 years, so it is gonna cover MK4 and MORE. It will most likely start with Shinnok's invasion, right where MK9 ended.

the 24 slots really worry me :| I want the series to move forward but if it's like half roster completely new characters and we get just twelve old ones.. idk I'll be really frustrated about that, I was kinda hoping for the roster MK 9 had plus at least another six to ten characters..

It's not, boon confirmed there are interactions in the character intros before a fight.

I really am worried about the story, I pray that story mode fills the holes. How the hell can you justify a 25 year gap? I hope this doesn't turn out like the x-men films with all the holes in it presently.

I hope they skip all the Shinnok crap. I think the character looks like a complete idiot, had Diet Shang Tsung gameplay and was never worthy of a big-bad title. The more new stuff the better in my opinion.

Why would Cage and Sonya be in this game if their daughter plays like both of them combined? No way are they playable unless they do the smart thing and somehow make them alt costumes for Cassie. The one character I wanted back 100% was Johnny Cage. Kotel Kahn is probably related to Shao Kahn like Genghis Kahn is to Kublai Kahn. Really annoyed right now with Cassie Cage. What's next? Bilbo Kang, the son of Liu and Kitana? FFS

Raiden will come back obviously. Quan Chi as well. Shinnok. Cage & Sonya as well. + Zero & Scorp = 7 already. Reptile, Mileena, Baraka are also a given. Some post MK3 guys - Kenshi, Tanya, Fujin, Havik...i think there will be enough old guys to play as.
