The way that select screen is set up, it really looks like MK vs. DC again

MK Characters on the left, New characters on the right.

"Kotal Kahn" - the son of Shao Khan?
 
Cassie Cage... I do not like that... they should have had Cage and Sonya instead, after all they survived MK9. Also, Kotal Kahn better not be Shao Kahn! What intrigued was the big bad guy - a surprise returning character - now Shinnok would not be a surprise right? So, maybe the Dragon King?
 
Cassie Cage?! 25 years in the future as well as right after MK9?! Whooooooa....

I can't wait for this game!$@
 
Boon said the story will take over 25 years, so Cage/Sonya daughter make sense.
Kotal Kahn must be the new Outworld emperor.

Looks like characters have 3 presetups to choose from before a fight.
 
Okay, wtf. Story is taking 25 years after MK9? I hope the intro for story mode explains what happened prior. Also Cassie Cage and Kotal Kahn? At least the Boss is gonna be an old bad guy. And where the hell is the FIGHT announcement for rounds 2 and 3?

Other than those gripes, love the game play and fatalities!

No. They said it starts after MK9 and goes as far as 25 years into the future
 
I have to say, I really like the idea of moving 25 years into the future. Also, shipwreck stage has really grown on me after watching. Can't wait to see more.
 
Oh wow... From what I gather this game is way past the end of MK9. Cage and Sonya had a daughter? What is this like 20-30 years later? I don't like that at all. If they plan on just skipping the Netherrealm invasion, then that's BS! I'm really pissed right now. Gameplay looks awesome and the 3 variations on characters is a great idea. Johnny Cage and Sonya are pretty much confirmed to not be in the game now. Cassie will just play like both of them. GAH!!! SO PISSED!!
 
That was fu***** stunning. Cassie Cage looks awesome! Shame the video was cut off just as she was chosen for a match.

And lawl at the bi***ing about Cassie. First of all, just because the daughter of Sonya and Cage is in this game, that doesn't mean they aren't. Boon said it starts at the very end of MK9 and moves forward 25 years. We still may get Sonya and Cage as playable characters. Relax.
 
super hyped with all the things they showed but.. I hope I'm wrong but if I saw correctly we're getting just 24 characters :| I don't mean to sound ungrateful, this mk just showed the tip of the iceberg and it seems to be the darkest and most brutal one up-to-date imo and I believe their experimenting with new characters will work but.. 24 characters seem to be too few :|
