Although I am a Frost fanboy, I believe this would be a mistake. If Frost ever took Sub-Zero's place, the MK fanbase would shit bricks.
EDIT: Was that a statement made just to get Subby fans mad, or was it a joke?

It was likely BOTH (aka he's tired of hearing other people's opinion on the subject matter).
It's become more apparent any time the subject of Sub-Zero comes up and he responds in a similar way.

I agree with this. Ed Boon just HATES Sub-Zero for some reason. He's getting beaten by Scorpion in the title screen for MK9, gets killed in MK9 (twice), is about to be killed by Scorpion in Scorp's Injustice intro, gets his heart ripped out and his head torn off in the MK trailer, and if you have the kollector's edition of MK9, he's getting impaled by none other than Scorpion. Sometime between MK4 or MKDA (I don't know which), he didn't really do anything. He was just assigned to beat up some Tarkatans or Hotaru while assisting Kenshi. How boring is that?

So then you're either lying or being hypocritical whenever Subz711 and I have previously discussed Bi-Han or Kuai-Liang coming back human to MK10 via the Soulnado or Quan Chi's Inner Sanctum, and you think it's a "good idea."

Of course they would be.
There are just as many Sub-Zero fans as there are Scorpion fans.
Those 2 are the Ken and Ryu of the MK series, and if you need further proof of the impending shit storm that would ensue, then look no further than to MK3.
Maybe because Boon's opinion isn't reflective of how the fans see MK.
His favorite character is Scorpion, which is why Sub-Zero always gets the shit end of the stick.
If you had favoritism towards Darth Vader, chances are very slim that you'd favor a battle between Vader and Luke or Vader and Han Solo in either Luke or Han Solo's favor.
You'd likely go with the one that you have favoritism towards (Vader), which is what goes on with NRS.
Not everyone favors the over-rated mascot and symbol of NetherRealm Studios.
Lots of people also like a good underdog story.
And that's fine, and I'd be all for that, but replacing = not on the roster at all (aka perma-death).

Most, if not all, of the dead kharacters need to return as unlockables. I'd love it if Frost was in the game either way!

People call Hsu Hao the worst character in MK history SOLELY because Ed hates him.
He isn't a terrible character. His design is alright, his story was decent and his specials were sick. There are a lot worse characters in the MK universe, but Hao gets the bad rep because Big Daddy Boon no likey

People love Scorpion because Boon favors him too, and Scorpion is over-hyped in every single MK commercial and marketing material for MK games.
That point aside, most of the characters (save for maybe 7 or 8 ) that were created in the MK
A thru the MK: Armageddon era were god awful.

Pretty much this, as I said in the "don't want" thread, I would hope none of the following make it into the game: Drahmin, Hsu Hao, Nitara, Ashrah, Dairou, Jarek, Kira, Kobra, Frost, and also the following if they're made into serious characters from the Easter Egg/Joke characters that they are; Mokap and Meat.
I just think they realized that people are gonna love Sub-Zero no matter what, so they use him as the guinea pig to explore new ideas, aka turning him Cyber, and even going as far as using him to release MK Mythologies because of the fact that he has a huge fan base. I have to admit, I'm guilty of still loving Sub-Zero too much, even though his story completely went to shit after MK4/MK
A, and they didn't do it wonders in MK9 as well, therefore I would literally go insane if he was retired in favour of Frost.

As I've said many times, Frost can be REVAMPED, dammit! And what was wrong with Ashrah and Nitara? I thought those two were some of the most creative.
As members have stated before, Boon would have to be crazy to do that.

Sub-Zero is a primary STAR of Mortal Kombat. He is fully entitled to Star Character Treatment because of it. Star Character Treatment means on the main default roster in EVERY Mortal Kombat game, no exceptions at all.

There were shit characters, but Hsu Hao was FAR from the worst.
All of those characters have huge potential though.
Hsu Hao could be made way more menacing now that Jax isn't there to stop him. Plus is God Clap? Best move in MK.
Nitara is hit or miss now that Skarlett is a thing, but her design is interesting nonetheless.
Dairou is awesome dude. A traditional Chinese Assassin? Take away his dumbass backflop and leg fireball and give him old school assassin gear. Chained Kama, poison darts, metal claws etc.
Ashrah should be pretty relevant now that the Netherrealm is a large focus in MK10. Who knows if she'll still be a demon at this point in the timeline. But I have a feeling she'll show up to start shit with Noob/Havik
Jarek is a jobber, but that's why he's lovable. I would love for him to be in the game. Either as a Kano skin, or as a full blown character.
Kobra, imho, has THE MOST potential out of any post UMK3 character. But NRS funked it up when they pussied out of their original intent. He was supposed to be a Ken ripoff. So let him be a Ken ripoff in MK10. Give him the Shoryuken, the Hadouken and the Hurricane Kick. With different names of course. God it would be amazing to play as a Shoto character in an MK game. How about instead of Kobra, they just put Ken in as a damn guest kharacter? It would certainly solve all the problems with Kobra's kharacter, plus it would satisfy all of those in favour of guests.

They wouldn't want their character getting killed.
Look at all the bullshit that NRS had to change for Kratos, in order for him to be in MK9.
All the fatality animations were changed for Kratos because Sony Santa Monica went all p***y, and didn't want their serial killer to get killed with a humiliating fatality. :laugh:

And I'd imagine that the Microsoft one would be Fulgore now that Killer Instinct is back.
I don't see why you guys hate guest characters lol. I get hype when I think of the possibilities. As long as they don't get that bullshit Kratos treatment. I fully welcomed Freddy Krueger because he didn't get special treatment, he was treated like a regular MK character, not like he was better than one.
