Ed Boon counting down to something on Twitter?

UMK3, since it was more balanced

MK vs DC had the best gameplay of any Mortal Kombat fighter prior to 9.

It was deeper than the 2d games and wasn't sluggish like the 3d ones.
I didn't like it because to me, it didn't feel like it was really MK. It felt like a cheap knockoff or a joke. MKDA wasn't that sluggish. Of course, it had minor hiccups every now and then, but it was (and still is) a pretty good game even if it does contain one of the worst kharacters in MK history (Hsu Hao).

MKDA was extremely sluggish. Don't believe me? Get impaled by an opponent and try catching up to them as they keep walking away from you. No dashing, jumping was slow and walk speeds were universal.

MKvsDC had bad aesthetics. It looked retarded and the concept was laughable. But with Injustice existing, MKvsDC 2 would be incredible. NRS did a great job at redesigning the DC characters.

It would go from this

It may have been sluggish, but at least it was enjoyable. I do agree they could make a better sequel, but they need brutal fatalities this time. If not, they might as well not kreate it. They have to make it FUN. Otherwise, I'll dismiss it and get Injustice 2 in 2016 or MK11 in 2018.

I'm fine without the brutal fatalities. Some of vsDC's fatalities are better than MK9's.

I've always been a fan of subtlety

Ask yourself, what would Baraka really do to Catwoman? He'd slice her into freakin' pieces. It never really feels MK without gore. That's what makes MK unique among fighters. Without it, MK becomes Street Fighter-like, and that's bad.

Blood and Gore was always second to me when it came to MK.
I've always been about the characters. As long as I can play as Predator cyber ninjas, ice men, feral tribesman and walking corpses it's MK to me.

Even if it is MKvsDC2 and the gameplay will be as good as Injustice and Mortal Kombat 9, I would still rather see Mortal Kombat 10. I just wanna see how much improvement it's come from since its last game!

I wonder what kind of gameplay MK vs DC 2 would have.
3 button back to block Injustice style or traditional MK?

I think a block button, 4 button game, and the power button seems about right. Including the the things you could throw in the stages.

I'll be seriously pissed if its 3 button, back to block. For some reason, I don't like the feel of it, unless its a 3D fighter. This was one of the main reasons Injustice was whatever to me and I didn't bother picking it up.

Crossups are a huge part of 2d fighters though.

Perhaps, and this is probably why I'm not into other 2D Fighters besides MK. I've used the current system since practically when I was old enough to understandably play video games and MKII was the first video game I've ever played.

Injustice held my attention a lot better than MK did. And I'm a lifelong MK fan.
It's deeper and the moves feel like they have impact.
