New Characters for MK10

If guest characters are back, then I hope that they are done like Injustice, just as DLC.
I'll download the compatibility pack, but I'd prefer not to see that shit on the main roster.
There's NO f***ing reason why Kratos should take up a spot that should have very well gone to Rain, in MK9, instead.

And don't give me that bullshit "It's for the people who have no internet" excuse.
It's 20 goddamn 14, and if you have Internet for Netflix, web browsing and basic console / system updates, then a guest character being on the main roster because of "the people with no Internet" is a MAJOR bullshit excuse.

Guest characters as DLC? Fine.
Just keep that guest character shit off the main roster.

Try living on a rural property where your only options for internet are either dial-up or satellite (the latter of which has well-documented latency issues) because the big ISPs are too worried about their profits to provide decent internet to your area. Yes, even in 2014, rural residents are still denied the same broadband internet access that urban residents have access to.

It's still no excuse for guest characters on the main roster.
It's MK.
In no way should a guest character take the place of an MK character that rightfully takes priority on the roster, such as was the case with Kratos and Rain in MK9.
MK9 belonged on that main roster, Kratos didn't.
Guest characters should just be DLC, like Freddy.
I'll still DL the compatibility pack for them, but if I wanted to play a fighting game with a bunch of DLC characters on the main roster, I'd play PSASBR.

Rain was likely always going to be dlc. He has never had any importance to the story, whereas Ermac played a huge role in Deception. And he would have been guaranteed cash as an addon character

Rain was nothing more than a glorified Prince reference. Perhaps Rain's name should be changed to an ambiguous symbol or something like that.

My point being that NRS planned for Rain not to be on the main roster, from the beginning, to make money off of him, when he should have been on the main roster to begin with.

His exclusive presence in the attract mode in the arcade version duped gamers into thinking they could play as or against him when neither case was true. I know for a fact people wasted their quarters (or their parents' quarters) looking for Rain clues, because I was one of them. He wasn't added as a full character until nearly a full year after the fact (and NOT on an arcade version). Explain to me how MK fans were NOT getting ripped off by Rain at arcades nationwide for nearly one full year again?

Plus, I am well aware of why UMK3 was released, because I lived through that release.

He was still unplayable and unfightable for one full year. Show me where I explicitly said he ripped off console gamers. I usually recognize the arcade ports a lot more than the console ports anyway, and the fact that Rain's original purpose was to drain gamers out of their quarters has never changed.

He wasn't a rip-off as far as console ports were concerned, and since MK9 was a console port, he should have been included as well, especially over ANY guest character or Cyber Sub-Zero.

Cyber Sub-Zero is a waste of a main roster space, and he should have just been a cyborg alt for Sub-Zero, the same way that human Cyrax and human Sektor were alts for Cyrax and Sektor, in MK9.

Nor did it give me my arcade quarters back either, but it was a HUGE relief to see Rain on consoles, hence why he should have been on the MK9 main roster, since he officially debuted as a playable character on consoles.

I experienced a rip-off over this character; it's only fair for the modern generation to experience the same. Granted, they didn't have to wait as long as we did for Rain to finally surface.

I don't see how it's fair, considering that he's my UMK3 main and one of my MK9 mains so I got ripped off TWICE, and so did any other MK1 thru UMK3 fan who wanted a completed UMK3 roster.

If I'm not mistaken, the now-defunct official website for Mythologies stated that Bi-Han and Kuai Liang have a sister, and Vogel has since shot down all rumors that Frost is that sister. How about her to replace Frost?

The younger generation of fans (if they even knew who Rain was), would only spend $5 one time to get Rain in MK9, whereas I spent WAY much more in quarters trying to find Rain, during the UMK3 era in the arcade, plus having to pay for him again in MK9.
Paying AGAIN for Rain, on top of all the money I spent in the arcades, isn't fair no matter how it's spun.
