New Characters for MK10

Perhaps Rain's name should've instead been "Deep". I mean, for MK, would you rather have Purple Rain, or would you rather have Deep Purple?

Oh wow, thats actually a pretty cool fact man. Not being a smarta** either if it sounds like that haha. Yeah I think Rain should be more prominent now though. Im hoping for a main roster spot in Mk10. Has he ever had a main roster spot besides MkA and trilogy?

Oh come on now. That's it I think I should officially start it now before any MK10 info is even released. Rain for MK10.lol. Also Sub-Zero for MK10 (never thought I would need to say that).lol
 
I reckon ALL MK4 characters will return. Kai and Fujin will play important roles with only Raiden, Johnny Cage, Sonya and perhaps Liu Kang surviving. Other characters from later installments will be added too. With Shinnok saying he will conquer Earthrealm and Outworld, is there potential for an alliance out of desperation between the two realms?
Returning characters not from MK4: Jade, Rain, Noob Saibot, Ashrah, Sareena, Li Mei, Sindel, Bo Rai Cho, Havik, Shujinko (middle aged version).
 
I think Rain will be on the main roster, no doubt. NRS saw the demand for him and he isn't relevant enough post UMK3 to be dlc again.
I just hope NRS doesn't pussy out and make MK9.5

Let MOST of the dead characters stay dead. I can't imagine that they'll all stay dead, I still stick to my theory that Shao Kahn didn't die. But NRS should stick to their guns and keep irrelevant characters like Jax, Stryker and Jade out of action

I agree with you on everything but Jade. Admittedly I am a fan of hers, but out of all the characters who died I actually think she has a good chance at coming back due to her ending. It could play no role, but I doubt it. Her ending sort of implied she was reborn.

You do bring up a good point though. There are some useless characters who don't need to be brought back. I dont Think it's just characters who died though. Characters like Kano, Sheeva, or Baraka have no place in MK10 imo.
 
I thought that was one of the funnier things of MK9.
In MK9 NRS has the chance to get rid of Sheeva for good.
She's a character with no development whatsoever (and being a Shao Kahn lapdog), but NOPE, she lives on? Ok. :laugh:
 
Baraka is pretty relevant post UMK3 with him leading the Tarkatans, plus there's the whole Mileena/Baraka Deception arc, which I honestly found interesting.


I do hope that if Kano gets the axe for some reason, that Jarek takes his place as the hopeless lone Black Dragon member against the growing Red Dragons. This could help Kira and Kobra come into play as the new recruits. Kira could be Sonya's direct rival and Kobra could be the Ken ripoff he was always meant to with Hadoukens and Shoryukens. His overly c0cky and uninterested attitude could make him a good rival for Cage.

Sheeva nobody cares about, but I do think Goro may come back. He was actually a good guy for a short while after Kahn's death. Then Noob kicks his ass and Unmasked Kahn saves his life. I know it conflicts with a lot of what MK9 established, but I have always wanted to see that in some form. Be it cutscene or hell, I'd even take a vignette.

You're right about Jade. I forgot about her ending. It was foreshadowing way too hard and left too many questions unanswered for it to not have any relevance. Many people think the woman in her ending is Ashrah. So I can't really see the reborn part happening. Ashrah does have heavy ties to the Neatherrealm though, so maybe she saves Jade's soul?


Just thought about it, Rain might replace Baraka as Mileena's rival. With the power struggle for Outworld happening there's no way the vacuum in leadership wont lead to war. Maybe Mileena teams with Baraka to get the horde behind her while Rain convines Edenia's Government (Whoever is in charge now that Sindel & Kitana are dead) to attack the weakened Outworld while he secretly wants it for himself. Though I guess he could just as easily become Edenia's ruler.



Goddamn I haven't talked about this game like that in a while :laugh:
 
Rain becoming Edenia's new ruler would be awesome.
He could finally get an army of his own to control, like he's always wanted.

I guess I disagree with some of your characters. If Kano is gone I hope Jarek is as well. Jarek was just a bad version of Kano so leave him out IMO.

I already have my roster made though and would love Mk10 to follow it.

There are better characters than Sheeva I agree. In a cameo role next up because of other characters returning will do for me.

Goro was in MK4, so if my prediction is correct he will be in. MK10 will involve the Netherrealm trying to conquer Earthrealm and Outworld so probably next game the Red vs Black Dragon rivalry will pop up. And due to too many characters, many dead ones in MK9 won't be in MK10.
And lastly, Baraka WILL be in and is one of the best characters around!

Lastly, Mileena will be too busy with Baraka, trying to join forces and make the Tarkatan race superior in Outworld.
The best fit for ruler of Edenia IS Rain.

He is the son of Argus, and if his MK9 ending is canon in MK10, then Rain can prove to be a pretty deadly dictator and overlord.

Jerrod had FAR more political power over Edenia than Argus, plus the former's soul is contained within Ermac. On top of that, Rain is an illegitimate child of Argus; historically, illegitimate children were completely excluded from the line of succession. Ermac is the rightful ruler of Edenia.
