Hi there, this is my thank you to my favorite writer, Michael Crichton. Rest in peace....
This is a sequel to his novels, 18 years after TLW.

I hope you like it, I am a very self-conscious about it. I've received lots of negativity....

Prologue

Isla Sorna lab, 2:00 PM.

Isla Sorna's roaring waves hit it's rocky cliff perimeter, making watery, misty explosions. The afternoon light was not in sight during the cloudy day. The big island's vast lush ecosystem made up for the kinda gloomy day. From a bird's eye view, the island's beautiful look still held up, lush open wet grasslands were seen, lot's of thick wet jungle, rivers, and the faint light from the cloud covered sun made the day prettier.
The big rusty, old building in the large grassland of the Northeastern part of the island still held up, even after InGen left, things seemed quiet there....

When Dr. Wingfield joined BioSyn (A geneticists company that steals ideas from rival companies) to help research GX4 3 weeks ago, things had gone wrong…
Velociraptors surrounded the old abandoned rusty laboratory, breaking through windows, shredding 6 of Wingfield's dead team with their foot claws, and biting the rest of the protection bars of the door that protected him and his last remaining teammates, they banged on the door, snarling and screeching.
The lab's many holes let faint daylight in. The lab was old, cracks on the walls were seen a lot. But the lab was still intact somehow...

"They're breaking through!" said Ronold as he was blocking the door.

As the scaly, gray raptor hand found it's way through the door next to Ronold, it tried to scratch him, he backed away quickly after each attempt, faint metal screeching rang on his ears as they clawed the wall next to the door, making long scratch marks.
Carla Park, was at the bottom of the door, blocking it with a metal stick. Wingfield saw that the raptors would have to try harder to overcome the muscular, short haired woman of 25. He saw that her bloody A-shirt's stains were still bright red.

"What the hell do we dooo?!" said Ronold.

Wingfield appeared as a dark brown man, with graying hair on the sides of his rectangular head, sweat soaked the sides of his rectangular glasses.
Wingfield searched the room some more, nothing so far. He saw a tall metal grey shelf with lots of little objects that looked like they could be used for surviving a blackout.
His beady brown eyes zigzagged as he looked. Then, at the corner of his eye, a small smoke bomb the size of a lipstick, he grabbed it. The thing was almost completely covered with his wide thick fingers.

"Open the door on three." Wingfield said. The two agents nodded.

"One… Two… THREE!!!"

The bomb zoomed out the door, it landed on the bloody ground, and in that instant it went off with a loud hissing sound
The team of BioSyn agents ran for the custom jungle SUV parked just outside the lab, they could see it thanks to a large portion of the end of the large hallway was gone, the lab suffered many more damages like that, a lot were worse.
The car had lots of grey protection bars on the headlights and windows, except the front window.
The team ran like hell, the distance to the car was about 36 meters. Running in the dark blue long sleeved shirts and pants was easy, even with the black bullet proof vest.
Ronold's running intimidated most people, the sight of seeing a well toned muscular man with big bulging biceps was kinda frightening.
The sky light beamed down at the damaged hall, shining light on his face, highlighting his fuzzy cleft.
The hall's ceiling was damaged, most of it was gone, it had many holes, allowing the light from the grey cloudy sky to beam through.
The mottled grey hall had about 7 doors, 4 on the left side and 3 on the right.
Carla Park was falling behind, tired from loosing blood from the raptor claw wound that ran from her armpit to her hand, the only thing holding the wound in place was a bloody tee.
Some dry blood was on her short blond hair and tan skin.
The mirrors on the walls were not able to reflect her rounded, scared face. However, her light blue eyes were very noticeable through the darkness.

She was about to call for help when, at the corner of her eye, a tall, green striped figure busted through the hall's walls. Dust and weak concrete gave way as the large animal came in. Carla saw it's slender triangular yellow head, and basic theropod body come from the dust. In a few seconds, she found herself 16 ft above the ground, in the jaws of a Carcharodontosaurus.
She felt the shark-like teeth puncture her guts, as she puked blood. The pain felt like a bunch of hot knives going straight through her soft flesh...
The large animal dropped her to the concrete floor, and saw that the human was crawling away...slowly...Grunting in pain.... The animal stepped forward, and scooped her up, and jogged to the jungle, Carla's screams were heard......

"Carla!" said Ronold, as he was about to go after her.

"Mooove!" Wingfield said as he yanked his arm, the yank was so strong.

Ronold saw that the well toned Latina man was a little faster then him.
The car was 10 meters away now. Animals jumped down from a bridge above the men, raptors, they jumped down in front of the team, snarling at them, the team was knocked down. The team was being mauled and bitten as they tried to get up.
Finally, Wingfield broke free by kicking a raptor's belly. He was by the car now, panting as he was opening the door. He closed it quickly. The speckled green and brown BMW SUV came to life as he used the key he had in his pocket, he was on his way..
B-BUMP! A sound came from behind the passenger window, it was Ronold…
Torn to the bone, veins hanging out, a scratched up torso, and a broken jaw, he banged the window, begging to come in. He slured "HEEEELLLPPP!" As his hanging torn right eye was looking at Wingfield, he smeared blood on the window as his hands rubbed it.
Wingfield opened the door, and saw a group of raptors charged the car at great speed, they were about 30 ft away. He gunned the car to the thick jungle.
The raptors surrounded the car, all hissing at the poor humans, Wingfield searched the glove box for a weapon, he found nothing…
Ronold, his eye wide open, was too messed up to move.
The road was infested with trees, the windshield wipers got caught and stopped, it was a blind drive….
The jungle was filled with ferns, cycads, and long green vines that smacked the car and the animals chasing it. The raptors did not seem to care, their minds were strictly focused on KILLING the humans...
All the raptors nudged at the car, some even climbed on top, just when Wingfield thought the situation could not get any worse. A thick rounded body of a Apatosaurus carcass was in the road, the long neck and tail were in each side of his path. He made a sudden sharp turn to the unknown, he crashed to a large rock, and felt himself being battered around the car as it flipped over.. The crash made him and Ronold burst out the car, falling to the brown mud.
They and the car were in a large open part of the jungle, sun light came in faint beams in the area. they were in a gap in the area that let a lot of sun in the middle of it, the area was circular. Trees surrounded it.
Wingfield got back up and tried to get Ronold up, but in that instant the raptors busted out the trees and jumped the men.
Ronold, who was to hurt to move, was in seconds torn to bits.
Wingfield was still fighting, trying to dodge the foot claws, and trying to get his knife.
One of animals got a lucky hit and gutted him, grabbed his neck with it's jaws, and threw him 6 ft across the area till he hit a rock.
Wingfield could not feel his neck, his guts were everywhere.
He was about to pass out when.. He saw a raptor, standing there, breathing at him. The red, beady bird-like eyes were so focused on him. Wingfield was too messed up to move, he was paralyzed, and broken.
Wingfield watched as the raptor lifted it's hind leg, ready to strike, and in a second, the foot smashed Wingfield's eye sockets.

Re: Jurassic Park: Outbreak.

I think it's fine.

I only have a gripe with how it's presented. Try to make it into paragraph form, so it'll be easier to read and the reading of it just flows better.

In my honest opinion, it's not bad, not bad at all, but it's not great either. I think you could really work on being more descriptive, to immerse the reader in the scene more.

Put more spacing in it?

Re: Jurassic Park: Outbreak.

Ohhhh! Thank you so much, for months I've been trying to get more help, people did not give me enough info. Thank you, I now have a favorite person on this site.

Re: Jurassic Park: Outbreak.

No problem.

When you display your writing well, it encourages the readers to read it. Just keep it neat and organized, so you'll attract them.

Re: Jurassic Park: Outbreak.

Its decent. Description was on point. However when you write a story with a third person aspect you have to be an omnipotent writer instead of a narrator.

Basically try to stray away from conversational words when writing events.

Jurassic Park: Outbreak. CH1.

Chapter 1
Colorado, Josph's river formation, 1:00 PM.(One month before the BioSyn op.)

The hot afternoon sun melted Laurry's red popsicle, it resembled blood, and was dripping, it's juice headed to the recently dug up Torvosaurus. Dr. Laurry Shaw wiped all of it away with a napkin.

The Torvosaurus was one of the biggest theropods found. At about 36 feet, and about 10000 pounds, it was a monster, big enough to perhaps scare Allosaurs.
They lived in the late Jurassic period, about 144 million years ago, and found in Portugal Europe. It was related to the earlier carnivore, Megalosaurus, which was also found in Europe, in England.
The animal had a head similar to Tyrannosaurs, only more slender, a long tail, longer arms, and three claws on each hand.

The teeth were cracked, but some were very shiny and not messed up.
"This guy took a beating." said Laurry's older brother. Gymen and Laurry were in charged if the dig. Laurry smiled at Him.

The dino was rittled with bit marks, some were next to the eyes. It was also missing ribs, tail bones, and a arm. There were ripples on the fossilized mud around the dino, as if the creature fought before it died.
Out side was at least 70 degrees, the team felt cooler under a dark swamp green tent. A lot better.

The Josph's River formation was known for it's beautiful--but hard to climb rocky hills.
The hill's shades of mixtures of grays, browns, and tans made it more beautiful.
The formation was also famous for it's unbelievably great record for hiding lots of Jurassic theropods that were found. Most have been found by the well known Dr. Laurry Shaw, she has also found more dinosaur nest full of eggs in a few countries. The multi-millionaire paleontologist's brother and single mother were very wealthy, but had enough to make her future kids wealthy as well.

"We can cast it soon..." said Gymen as he patted the dusty dirt of his tan safari-looking vest and shorts, like what most of the team wore. Some wore shirts of all kinds.
Laurry was always eager to get a fossil to the lab. At times her inpatients got the best of her, it costed fossils....
Gymen's tall figure made him kinda intimidating, but the 22 year old's kindness made people safer, he made little kids look up to him. His beautiful slicked back red hair often caught the attention of women. The fare tan smooth skin made the long faced man even more irresistible.
The pebbly rock and dirt was extra rough on Laurry's sensitive tan skin. But she did not mind it.
Laurry often got lots of comments about her well conditioned fare very clear skin.

"Laurry is this correct?" Gymen said, he was not sure if he was brushing the dirt away
right, after all, he is just a waiter at a bar in Florida....

Laurry lifted her leg over the fossil, to crawl to her brother on the other side.
"What you can do is brush in small strokes--or circles." Laurry demonstrated, she liked to do that.

"Nice and smoothe, now......." she moved Gymen's hand for him, brushing the eye socket in circles.
"I got it, thanks." Gymen smiled, Laurry gave a big smile back, as usual, she is a smiley person, always full of energy, ready for adventure.

"Looks like this guy had trouble, I see bite marks everywhere..." Laurry said.

The bite marks were made by other Torvosaurs. The size of the bites were the right size.
Sandy Re'vera, the person working on examining the remains of a herbivore in the research tent, rung the lunch bell. Everyone came to the table, except Laurry, who was still examining the Torvosaur, with a small magnifying glass.

"Yo, Laurry, come on, we have lemon squares!" Gymen called. The bright sun made Gymen's hair shine.

Laurry's favorite snack was lemon squares. After hearing that, she put down the glass and sprinted up the rocky hill.
Gymen watched Laurry come up the hill. Laurry appeared as only 5'4, The 118 pounded 22 year old woman ran up the hill easily and quickly. Much faster then her twin Gymen.
The two pigtails bounced as she ran. Metal tools made noise in her many pockets in her tan safari-like vest and shorts.

Dr. Laurry Shaw graduated in San Jose University at 20.
During her first digs as a paleontologist, she discovered the first Giganotosaurus (A large carnivore that is bigger then T-Rex) infants in Argentina, along with the nest they were in. The mother was nowhere to be in sight...Laurry thinks she may have gone out to hunt.
Since then, she decided to look for more infants and other carnivores, she moved to the USA, to study American theropods, she hopes to find all kinds.

The picnic table was filled with 20 people, Sandy was still doing research on the fossil. Most people here were colleges of Laurry's, they worked with her for years.
Plenty of deserts and fruits filled the table: cakes, brownies, pies, the ideas were all Laurry's idea. But mostly fruit was on the table, as picked by Gymen, he was a fruit addict.
After Laurry had a funny conversation with her crew, Sandy called her over. "Miss Shaw please come here a minute." Laurry came over.

Sandy Appeared only 5'6, long black hair that shun under the bright intense sun.
The narrow faced, Latina woman got the attention of men often. A little too often if you asked her. Black jean shorts matched with the white A-shirt she wore.
Sandy Graduated at San Jose University at 22, she studied some bioengineering, and became a expert at dinosaur sicknesses.
Her and Laurry meet when she graduated, Laurry found her through a news article about her discovery of a Stegosaurus with fossilized parasites in it's shoulder right blade.
She then went to the Florida museum to talk to her, she asked her if she wanted to join her team. She agreed to help, if she could come back to the Florida museum more often to help study the remains there.
She has been a paleontologist for 2 years now.

The research tent was filled with petri dishes stacked neatly on the sides of the tent. They were on tall shelves.
The boxes with other finds that were found a few days ago were marked: Allosaurus jaw, claw, and teeth, possible Stegosaurus shoulder blade? Unknown sauropod vertebra, Ceratosaurus skull parts.
All of the fossils were found in a mile radius.
Stacks of paper were next to the laptop by Sandy, she was using a microscope for the skull of a juvenile Allo.
After looking around the tent, Laurry walked over to her.

"You wanted to see me?" Laurry said.

"Look at this..." Sandy said

Sandy let her see through the scope, the jaw had little holes that looked a lot like bite marks, only....There were problems: The holes did not line up like bites, and there were greenish specs on each one, like algae.
Laurry magnified the scope to 300X, and found that the specs looked like small shrimp-like things, embedded in the jaw.

"They, look like bacteria." Laurry said.

"Exactly." Sandy said, "If you look closer, you'll see these little cracks around them."
Laurry magnified it to 350X...

"As if they were breaking through the bone...." Laurry said.

"Correct... These must've made dinosaur times harder.
I dissected a few, and from what I found, there is a lot of bone and plant matter in what looks like their stomachs. This is I guess their food source. When you had these in you, it must've been a ..." Sandy shrugged, just what the hell have they found?

"Thanks for sharing. Why don't you come eat?" Laurry said, getting up.

"Thanks, but no thanks, I want to examine these some more."

"Ohh, well ok." Laurry said cheerfully, as she went to leave Sandy spoke again.
"Just one more thing..." Laurry turned to face her. "Think you can save me some pie?" Sandy said while smiling.

Laurry giggled, "Sure."

The outside breeze felt good, it was good to get out the tent. Laurry sat back down with the crew, and told them the discovery.

"Megalosaurus, which was also found in Europe, in England.

Re: Jurassic Park: Outbreak.

Certainly sir.

Your story:
The mirrors on some parts of the wall made it kinda hard to see her rounded scared face. The light blue eyes were very noticeable however.

My example

The mirrors on the walls were not able to reflect her rounded, scared face. However, her light blue eyes were very noticeable through the darkness.

Hope that helps
Avoid casual talk when writing as the author, make sure you use names in a long sentence and you should be a okay :D

Chapter 2

BioSyn HQ, conference room, Alabama, 3:24 AM.(A month before the BioSyn op....)

Dr. George Wingfield walked down the long grey hall.
The bright ceiling lights highlighted he had very few wrinkles, the rectangular face casted faded long shadows on the hard wooden floor he walked on.
The Latina man looked good in his early forties.

Wingfield was hired a week ago. He was approached by a man that watched his last appearance on a cryptid show,(Unknown species... Like Bigfoot, and Nessie) he talked about his experience. The man talked to him while he was leaving a museum.
He was studying the Mokele Mbembe, animals that are described as sauropods by locos of the Congo.
These animals have been claimed to be seen for centuries. They are known to be territorial.
Mokele Mbembe means "One who stops the flow of water."
He claims he was studying footprints near a village, he guessed the animals were about 15 feet tall, and 20ish 30ish feet long.
He took his team of 3 to where is believed to be the home of these animals, a huge swamp about the size of Florida. Most of the swamp is unexplored so, a lost world with prehistoric animals was possible. Considering that the Congo has not changed much since prehistoric times, the vegetation could support these animals...
During his expedition, he and his team built a camp in the swamp on a small dry island in the swamp.
They set up cameras around the camp, and further away from the camp. They had very sensitive thermal vision.
The team stayed for a week.
As the team slept, George remembered the night being warm, insect sounds were heavenly.
Most of the time it was very hot and humid when they were there.
Wingfield heard strange grunting sounds one night.... They came from outside the tent--at least a few feet from the tent.
As he poked his head out the tent, he saw what looked like a long, reddish brown tail, it just moved softly...
Wingfield's curiosity took over, and he followed the tail.
When he saw the animal sniffing the equipment, he says he remembers the frightening sound it made when it was surprised by him, it violently wiped it's tail at the tent, knocking it down, waking the 2 other teammates.
George says the animal jogged off. In to the jungle darkness...
George, after seeing if his team was ok, he checked the PC to see the camera views...A large long animal passed the 4th camera, it blocked most of the view..
The image showed the animal being a big red mass in the thermal vision.
George took screenshots, and e-mailed them to himself he claimes.
The team looked for the animal, hopping it would show up, but it didn't..

The morning came, and they went back to the airport, and back to San Jose, his home.
Most people did not believe his picture or his story sadly....
The man that hired him said his workmates voted for him to be chosen for task that involve a lot of animal research and what not.
He was amazed they wanted him, most people looked at him as crazy, taking too many risk, and a giant smartass. He is a part time paleontologist, so that brings up the worst in him.
George thought about it for a second, and decided to go. He wanted to not be teased. He wanted to be more known for greater things then just cryptozoology. And this meeting will be the start of achieving his goal.

The conference room was filled with some chatter, but was stopped when Wingfield's presence was noticed...His presence was usually tempting, even when he was not being serious.... The dark blue business suit, pants and red tie made him stand out, other people were wearing either grey or black suits.
The room was filled with plants on the perimeter, the floor was hard wood, and there were 20 foot tall windows overlooked the city, but the dark pink curtains were closed....
The room had a single light that beamed down the long wooden table.
Wingfield smashed down his brief case on the long table, and opened it up.

"Good evening everyone." Wingfield knew it was late, it was his way of f****** with people for fun, "My name is Dr. George Wingfield, I am new here." He had only been here a few hours, and he wanted a meeting about a crisis for some reason.

Wingfield pulled out a small memory chip, and inserted it to a large projection machine.
The big screen next to it lit up, it showed pics of big animal carcasses.

"Gentlemen, we have a crisis. For about 18 years, large carcasses of animals have washed up on Costa Rican beaches, and some in the mainland. The animals have been destroyed by the government. There are people that studied these, and they mysteriously came down with a kind of sickness after doing so, this is no ordinary sickness. This caused them and people they were around to die."

The room was filled with uncomfortable silence...People looked tensed.

"These reports are classified in most parts of the world, only us and 10 American labs know about it, they don't want to worry anyone else, because they think they can handle it themselves.
The disease is named GX4. This thing could have use to us...We have technology to make bioweapons, so we-- " Wingfield showed schematics, "My team is making prototypes for them."

"Get to the point, Mr Wingfield..." The person at the back of the table said, away from the light, Dr. Miranda Regikawa. The light failed to beam down the pale tan skinned middle aged woman of a Asian heritage. George saw the beady brown eyes looked directly at him. Not blinking..

"I want to make a bioweapon, and this thing could help, we can wipe out our next competition."

"What about the virus?" Miranda said in a deep voice, "how will you handle it?"

"This virus is too dangerous to study on the mainland, too many lives are at stake, and Costa Rica has too many people too, we wouldn't want another Chile incident wouldn't we? So....We should go to a place with out human distraction."

"Which would be?...."

"Isla Sorna, it is where it's theorized to come from. I also want to study how the virus works, since we can't risk using people."

BioSyn once made a modified version of aids, and sent it to a farm in Chile by plane, without their permission. The virus never got out however... The government of Chile told them what they did was irresponsible, but they did not suffer for some reason... Since then, they decided not to take too many risk like that....

"Me and my team will capture dinosaur specimens to study."

Miranda rubbed her greying black hair, thinking about what she just heard. People in the room were silent, shocked about his commitment.

"How long will you be?"

"3 weeks."

"How fast can your team get ready?"

"In one month." Wingfield kept his eyes on Miranda, ignoring everyone else. Miranda sighed, "This is one crazy ass plan, but...We have a deal. I want hourly reports."

"Yes ma'am, it will be done." Wingfield packed his things.
Just as he opened the door, Miranda spoke.

"Oh, just one more thing." Wingfield turned to face her fast, "We cannot allow any more carcasses to get off that island. So.....If you are not back by 3 weeks, we will blow up you and that entire island. We have enough trouble with out risking the government thinking the diseased animals that will get people sick is our fault. Understood?"

"...Understod." Wingfield left and the room's other people left as well. Miranda stayed behind, she grabbed her suitcase from under her chair and pulled out Wingfield's papers with his scientific records, she got to the first page, and read it.

Jurassic Park: Outbreak CH 3.

Chapter 3
Florida airport, 2:23 PM

The airport was more packed then normal, Laurry and her team squeezed through bunches of suitcases held by people, Gymen almost knocked down a few.
The trip from Colorado was great, there was hardly any noise, the service was surprisingly really good, for second class, and the employees were as nice as angels.
The fossil cargo was safely coming down a conveyer belt, being grabbed by employees. Laurry's team grabbed the boxes.

"So, prehistoric parasites, uh?" Gymen said, to start a conversation.

"Disease I think, and they seem to have a nasty habit, they seem very aggressive little buggers."

"Did they cause the extinction of most dinosaurs?"

"Naw, I don't think so, we don't find holes like that in all fossils. Plus, most of them may have actually lived through the extinction, they evolved turned to birds."

"Hehe, I keep forgetting. But how come they don't have beaks?" That always confused him.

"Caudipterix did, and many others, like Oviraptor."

"I, did not know that." Gymen smiled, and as did Laurry.
They lifted the last box of fossils, and set them on a electric cart. The cart was rode on by Gymen.

The booth was filled with 20-ish people aside it, Colin Trevorrow had enough room to get to the attendant behind it, he saw the uniform she wore, the white shirt with blue vertical lines was a good look for her. The name nametag was shiny and red and said "Cathy".
The lady saw Colin, he appeared as a short man, only about 5'6 from what she saw.
The blue jeans, black leather jacket, sunglasses, and greasy short mohawk made the Latina man stand out in the big croud.

"How may I help you?" she said.

"I am here to pick up a dig team, one is named Laurry Shaw." he said in a light Spanish accent.

She typed in her name...."Yes, she is coming out now, form the left hall to your far left." she pointed it out.

"Thanks babe, I see it." The lady had a weird on her face after being flirted with for a second...

Colin walked to the hall, he noticed how big the airport was, it had a kinda fancy look. The main colors were blue, white, and red.
The walls were mainly white, but a lot had red lines across them.
The baseboards were blue. So were the window frames, and too many other things Colin could not keep track of. The room was colorful.

"Are we almost there?" Laurry said impatiently.

Laurry noticed the big hall the team was in had lots of places to eat like: A Arby's, McDonald's, Red Lobster, and Applebee's.
The hall had plenty of rolls of large windows on top of the large room, sun beamed down the room.
Laurry could see the puffy clouds in the brilliant blue sky.

"....There, the hall." Gymen pointed out.

Laurry sped up some, she was very eager to get these findings to the lab. She tried her best to hang on to them.
As the team went through the hall, Laurry noticed a short, mustached man in black, standing on the other side of the giant hall with his hands in his, by the hall, Colin.
"Colin!" Laurry shouted, she and everybody else sped up some.
Colin smiled, and braced himself for Laurry's LEGENDARY tight hugs.

"We missed you!" she said.

"Good to see you too, Laurry." he replied.

The other diggers shook hands with him, Gymen was last.

"Hey man, long time no see, eh?" Colin said

"How are you, Colin?" Gymen replied smiling.

"Fine, let's get these on board."

Colin's eight-teen wheeler was orange, with the name of the company he worked for, "Servants", the name came form the fact that they make tech, vehicles, and anything else that biologist wanted to go on safaris with.

Servants was formed on April 23, 2003, it is owned by a man named Carlos Ricico, he made the company.
Colin was the youngest employee to get hired, was very skilled with cars and installations for them like: reinforced windows, advanced GPSs, reinforced rims, and as a bonus, he can make any car light weight. He is the most valuable employee, and the youngest. Thanks to his 200000 a year, he was the richest employee.
One day at a bar, when Colin was visiting from Costa Rica, he met Laurry. She mentioned how she had trouble founding for the digs, he not only offered to found the digs, and transport the finds, he gave her and Gymen private jets, which meant free flights for them. unfortunately, due to unknown errors with the plane's wings, his friends had not been able to have free flights for months. They were expected to be fixed very soon

The dig team went down the steps outside where the truck was, they felt the warm sun waves beam down.
They were in a large special parking lot for them and Colin's truck.
One by one, fossils came downstairs, Colin came down with the box that was marked "Unknown disease, kid allo..."
Colin wondered about that....
He reached in his pocket for his key, and opened the truck.

"It's good to be back in the good ol' sunny state, eh?" Laurry said to Gymen, as she put a fossil box in the truck.

The other members of the team except Laurry, Gymen, and Colin went in their cars, waiting for Colin to lead the way.

"Looks like you're riding with me." said Colin as he opened the truck, Laurry was excited.

The road side was filled with foliage, one the left side a large lake ran down along side the road. The sun light shun down directly on it, making awesome lights and reflections.
Laurry watched the lake, everything else around the lake did not matter to her at the moment.
Beyond the lake was a city.

"So, prehistoric disease? Sounds scary." Colin was starting a conversation, "Do you know how dangerous they were?"

"We don't know yet, but because they had plant matter in them, Sandy thinks that they could destroy a ecosystem. She thinks they could have been part of the extinction." Laurry said.

Colin fell silent for a while, trying to stomach the facts....."How do you think they died off?" He said, while turning to a new road.

"I don't know....I don't know......" Laurry said nodding "no."

Laurry was always a dino nut. Her first museum trip when she was 2 was very memorable to her. She remembers that she dragged her mom to it when they got out the car.
The first exhibit she visited, was called "Exotic Dinosaurs", it had species from South America, Asia, and Africa.
The first dino she laid her eyes on was a 50 foot long Spinosaurus. She was fascinated by the long claws on it's hands, it had three on each big hand. The most cool thing about the animal to her was the big sail on it's back. That always puzzled her: What was it used for....?
The other parts of the museum did not excite Laurry as much as the dinos did. Except the ancient humans.
Laurry remembers falling asleep during the evening, when she sat by her mother, who was texting.
Laurry was then picked up by her mother the rest of the way out the museum. But before she left, she got a little plush Giganotosaurus.
When Laurry woke up the next morning, she remembers that she woke up to it next to her. She enjoyed it, A LOT. she kept the thing for years, she took it to all of her expeditions, and to her vacation house in Costa Rica if she visited her mom. She'd play with it once or twice a week....

The truck stopped behind the Florida museum, next to a garage door, Colin pressed a button on his mirror over his head, and it opened. People inside scattered, preparing for their fossils.
A person in front of the truck waved two glowing sticks, signaling Colin to go slowly.
The truck opened, and Laurry and the others helped unload the fossils.
The other paleontologist were parked not to far from the truck. They hurried to the others.

"We ran in to traffic, sorry..." Sandy said.

"No worries." Laurry said smiling, while carrying a box.

Jurassic Park: Outbreak CH 4.

Chapter 4
Costa Rica, BioSyn armory and hanger, 7:15 AM.

The hanger was filled with 50 BioSyn agents suiting up, and collecting weapons. The hanger was filled with speed boats, jeeps and heavy lift helicopters.
There were large shelf-like crates with rifles and other weapons, the weapons were lined up vertically, along with grenades types like: smoke, fire, regulars, and static.
BioSyn did not worry to keep the hanger a secret. They told the Costa Rican government it was for manufacturing vehicles for safaris.
BioSyn was good at hiding illegal weapons they had in the hanger, so the government never told them to leave.
The weapons were hidden under doors on the floor, the doors would only open to a series of footsteps on them.

Wingfield, overlooked the room, it was a mechanical wonderland. Sparks flew everywhere as the agents modded the cars, helicopters, and a trailer.
The hanger was at least a football field long, and a football field wide. He walked around to supervise the work, he noticed people modding jeeps, adding bars in front to withstand extreme force, the awesome force of dinosaurs.
Large trailers with labs and places to live in were a dark green jungle camo color, the tented windows were filled with black titanium bars.

"Impressive isn't it?" a man behind him said, he was another one in charge of the op, Ronold Dragor has been in BioSyn for 12 years, serving as a undercover agent, stealing plenty of ideas from rival companies, he ALWAYS succeeds. He hurts anyone to be victorious, even kill...

George examined him for a second, he saw him as a tall white brunet man of 34. The lights of the hanger ceiling made the dark pixie styled brown hair produce long shadows on the concrete grey floor.

"Amazing." Wingfield replied.

"Ronold, Ronold Dragor." Ronold said as he shook his hand, George had a strong grip. Ronold walked around with George.

"Most of this stuff is approved by SWAT, and military organizations in 50 countries, this is the best of the best technology to use for expeditions, you could not ask for anything else." Ronold said.

A few people were practicing reloading a small cylinder shaped rocket launcher. Then George noticed a young woman sitting on a crate, wearing a black A-shirt with dark blue pants, with lots of pockets. She was sharpening a black bladed knife. George saw spark's reflections on her black sunglasses.
She appeared pretty muscular, the pale tan skinned woman reminded George of a Olympic player.

"Ah, George this is my associate Carla Park." Carla got up and shook his hand.

"Nice to meet you." she gave a cheeky smile.

"Carla is our close combat and long rang specialist." said Ronold.

"Mr. Wingfield, I admire your work on crypto zoology, and the study of prehistoric illnesses." Carla said, "Your studies on the recent sauropod was interesting...."
The Jobaria (A sauropod found in Africa) Wingfield found before BioSyn hired him for research had tiny holes, they had mysterious green specks in and around them. Fossilized algae, was his first thought, but after finding a strange amount of plant and bone particles, he thought otherwise....
To this day, he suspects a disease that could have wiped out most of life 65 million years ago. He found 56 specimens with these mysterious holes....

"Thank you." Wingfield said nodding. Happy to see one person not making fun of him.

"When are we heading out, boss?" Carla said.

"At 7:30, gear up soon." Ronold stated.

"Yes sir." Carla said, she saluted then walked off.

"We'll get this mission done, sir." Ronold said. Then Wingfield looked at him, "You're in good hands."

The helicopters stayed in V formation, the helicopters were not marked with "BioSyn" to avoid trouble, along with the vehicles they carried.
BioSyn managed to get pass the Costa Rican government by posing as mercenaries patrolling the island.

It was 8:30 AM, the sky was filled with thin cotton clouds. The sky was pale blue, the sun was still rising on the east.
Carla Park, looked out to see the ocean, good thing the helicopters were open.
some agents from a few aircraft sat at the edges and let their legs hang out the opening that let troops out, at the back of the copters.
She looked around the cargo hold and the team she was with. She looked at their outfits: Dark blue long sleeved shirts and pants that were under black pockets, bullet proof vest and other gear that made them look like S.W.A.T. units.
The yellow goggle-looking glasses she and everyone wore made them look part marine too, along with the dark blue marine-like helmets, Carla did not wear one, the wind from outside blew on the pale blonde hair.
Just a few thousand feet away, a foggy, thick, tropical island was in Carla's sight, she stared in amazement. The island had a lot of mountains on the perimeter. forming a bowl- looking island
The helicopters flew over the island cliff face. It had lots of crooked trees growing on it.

The grassy field of the wide open valley was wide and open, the wind blew softly. Birds of multiple colors flew away as the BioSyn team was landing.
The dark helicopters landed slowly, the agents hopped out and took positions around the vehicles and stuff that got on the ground.
Wingfield, stepped out slowly, observing the grassland, he saw a river about 1000 feet away, but no dinosaurs....
Based on the map he looked at from the satellite images, he knew he was in the grassy valley.
The radars BioSyn were using had a 2 mile radius. A agent got a huge number of contacts, it looked like a heard, 2 miles away.

Wingfield took a deep breath of the fresh air and said, "Alright, let's get started." He smiled.

The line of speckled green and brown Hummers drove along side the river, with Wingfield's car leading, he was in the passenger seat, a agent named Mike drove.
The cars were in a big grassy valley, but George also saw dirt patches straight ahead, hundreds of feet away from the car.
The agents back at the landing site were making camp. They also were making a perimeter fence.
It was a beautiful morning, there were many puffy clouds in the brilliant blue sky, the weather was about 70 degrees.
"Just another mile...." he said. "Approach slowly when we get closer."
"How long have you studied cryptozoology?" Ronold said.

Wingfield hesitated, then spoke in a kinda quiet tone, "23 years."

"Do you have a love life?"

"I don't have time for such events, too busy. Science waits for no one."

"Aren't you charming...." Ronold whispered to himself.

"You seem like you have more sense then all of us, what's a smart guy like you doing looking for hypotheticals?" Mike said as he chuckled, as he chuckled he saw as Wingfield gave him a annoyed face, then stopped, and looked at where he was driving. Wingfield did not like jokes about his passion.

"So what do you know about this disease?" Carla said.

"It's invasive to the environment, based on destroyed plants I've dug up. I guess these things can destroy a ecosystem in about a matter of weeks, or months..." The thought of that made everyone silent....

"This should be fun." Mike said sarcastically.

The car had 5 seats, Ronold sat in the second row with a agent by him, Carla sat next to Ronold's left, just the way she liked it.
A flash of green, speeding things passed Wingfield's car, they were about the size of lions.

"Stop!" he said on the comm, on a blue earpiece.

The cars stopped, and the creatures stopped in curiosity, ing their little heads like birds.

"What............?" Carla said, she stared at the creatures. They slowly walked to the cars, making sniffing sounds.
Carla pulled out her custom M4A1 carbine, and opened--

"Wait! It's ok, they are plant-eaters, put the gun down, get back in, close the door, and don't slam the door..." Wingfield said. Carla looked tensed...

The animals had medium sized necks, they had black beaks, the bodies were kinda skinny, but well toned, the legs were thick, the long tails were too.
She did as Wingfield said, and continued to look out the window.
Wingfield recognized them as Hypsilophodons, they were related to big animals like Igunandon.
Hypsys lived in lots of countries, but so far none have been found in Antartica.
The reason why these guys are so successful is probably because of their chewing capabilities, no other dinos besides maybe hadrosaurs did this, these guys could digest food better then other dinos, making them healthier.

The hypsys nudged at the cars, they made high pitched swan-like noises. Wingfield guess it was a way to say, "It's safe!" That made sense, he thought.
He opened the window, and pulled out his Nikon camera, and set the flash off.
A hypsy saw him, and chirped in curiosity, it tried to bite his camera. Wingfield was amused, then he took a few pics. He saw the animal's eyes, they were dark brown, with black pupils, they were pretty.
The body was dull green, with a mottling of dark browns and blacks that extended down the neck. The head was kinda a oval shape. Wingfield did not dare touch it, he was still concerned about the disease. Plus he was more interested in the large animals in the distance.

"Alright, enough fun time, get em' away." he said.

All of the cars honked their horns, the hypsys scurried away, vanishing away in the jungle to the right.

"Well, ha, that was extraordinary." Wingfield smiled.

A distant whale-like sound came from further down the river, and Wingfield saw what looked like sauropods, drinking.

"Vominos!" Wingfield said. The 10 cars moved on....

Jurassic Park: Outbreak CH 5

Chapter 5
San Jose Costa Rica, 10:00 AM. (One month after the Josph's River Formation dig

The Mercedes convertible allowed Laurry to feel the warm morning wind as she drove.
The morning sun was beautiful, Laurry was able to see the beach to her left, the sun's light made diamond like reflections on the water.
After the dig, Laurry and her brother were supposed meet their mom, for the first time in two years. But, Gymen's boss got in to a car accident...He was ok, Gymen decided to go supervise the bar. So Laurry promised to take plenty of pictures.
The warm air felt like heaven to Laurry's sensitive fare pale tan skin.

The San Jose zoo had a yellow and black gate. A man was in a booth, asking Laurry for a ID. She gave it to him and drove through the gate.

Dr. Veronica Shaw refilled the African elephant's food tray. It moved in a fast stride, as it got to the tray, it bumped Veronica as it got food.

"Ah, slow down." she said as she giggled.

The elephant sniffled, almost getting mucus on the green safari zoo uniform.
The exhibit was 300 feet long, and about 100 feet wide. It was shared with a few zebras, and a smaller elephant.
The exhibit looked like the type of environment these animals would live in.
Veronica wore a safari outfit with the San Jose logo on it, the name of the zoo was under the animal logo.
Dr. Veronica Shaw lived in Costa Rica all her life. She was born in 1973, her parents are from Israel, and moved here two years before she was born.
Shaw grew up around animals, because her parents owned a animal shelter, which is where her love for animals came from.
At age 20, she got her own zoo. 3 days after that, she gave birth to her twins Laurry and Gymen Shaw.
Her husband, Laurance Shaw, was a pilot in San Jose. He died on a plan crash due to terrorist before the birth of his kids.... The Shaw twins were born 3 months later.

Up ahead, Veronica saw a short red headed woman with a pale blue tee shirt and green cargo pants was waving at the top of the hill looking over the exhibit, resting her little arm on the fence, Laurry. Veronica waved back.
Laurry dashed down the slope along the exhibit. She ran for the building next to the exhibit that lead in it, it held food and stuff to handle the animals. It had a glass roof and 8 windows.
As Veronica went down the building's hall, Laurry came around the corner, dashing to her mom saying "MOM MOM MOM!!!" She hugged her hard.

"Oh, careful." Veronica said as she giggled.

"I missed you." Laurry said

"How was the dig?"

"I have something cool to tell you about it, let's have lunch."

The zoo's Burger King was packed. Little kids ran freely around the zoo, leaving their parents due to excitement. Some stayed close to them.
Laurry got food, she walked to her mother at the table she was at, dodging kids.
The tables outside were circular, and were made of painted metal.
The chairs were made of the same thing, and they were built to lean back.
The zoo looked kinda fancy, but had a very wild natural look. Tropical trees were everywhere, millions of tropical pretty flowers were everywhere, the paths were black asphalt, and a lot of the animal fences were made of a thick brown vine looking ropes.
Veronica often was told she looked A LOT like Laurry. Long, pale face, a pointy-looking chin, pale green eyes that seemed to glow, medium-sized nose, and the same smile that looked like something from a toothpaste commercial.
It was a good choice for Laurry and her mom to eat outside. And Laurry knew it.
The table she chose was under a few palm trees making a great shady spot.
Veronica really enjoyed the location. The long thin shadows from the palm trees raced across the 40 year old's semi-wrinkled face.
Laurry gave Veronica her salad, it had little tomatoes, lots of olive oil, pepper and salty walnuts. She also got Cokes too.

"Alright, tell me about your dig, what'd you find?" Veronica said smiling.

Laurry unwrapped her soy ham burger. It had fries on the side

"Well we found what looks like a disease."

"Disease?"

Laurry pulled out her cell phone, and got to the picture of the specimens uploaded from the microscope, then showed her mom.

"We found a juvenile Allo, as Sandy examined it with a microscope she found little holes, they had little green specks."

Laurry took one of her fries, dipped it, and took a bite.

"Sandy then dissected the specks, and found a strange amount of plant and bone matter.....I am starting to consider this is a type of parasite.."

Veronica squinted at the picture, "Disease, uh......?" Veronica whispered to herself. "How do you know it's a disease?"

"We just have a feeling..." Laurry ate the rest if her fry, and took another. "This disease could destroy a echosystem. This could have wiped out most dinos, it's the perfect killer, it must've killed off most of the plant-eaters, and left the theropods to starve."

"Just be more cautious, dear." Veronica said. Her face was now cautious.
"What do you mean?"

"I just don't you to end up like these people.."

Laurry moved her head to one side in curiosity, "Like what?"

"Scientist, they studied the mysterious animals that wash up on sore. It's been happening for about 18 years, no one knows where they come from. They were carrying something....A lot of people are sick, the government has not told every country yet, they are trying to handle it first--so it's ok if you did not know I just don't want you to mess with things you are not to familiar with. I am worried about you dear."

"But the specimens are fossilized." Laurry giggled.

"Yeah, maybe I am worrying too much...BUT everything here is just fine besides that, everyone here is as happy a ever."

Laurry saw as her mother gave out a cheeky smile, then she smiled back, she hoped these events did not worry her too much.

"How's Gymen?"

"Fine fine, he should be here in a few days, he only has a few days of work left.
How are you?"

"Happy as ever." Veronica took her sip,"Things have been kinda slow around here, due to these reports about strange animals."

"Animals?" Laurry said as she ate the fry.

"Yes they are reported living deep in the jungles, and are rumored to have killed people, but no one knows for sure...These animals are believed to be the same as the ones found on the sores."

Laurry was shocked at what she'd been told. "What do the government think?" she said.

"They and zoologist here think they may be just pranksters, but they are open to anything else."Veronica sipped her Coke, and Laurry had some of her Coke.

"I told Gymen I'd take pics." Laurry smiled, then grabbed the iPhone.

After they took the pictures or each other, Laurry was getting ready to leave, but hugged her mother first.

"I'll see you in a few days, I also want to find some clothes at the mall 1 mile from here."

"Good bye Laurry." Veronica smiled.

Laurry was staying on this vacation for a week, then planed on going to Utah to do another expedition.
Laurry took one last look at her, and off to the mall she went.
