Mortal Kombat HD Remix with MUGEN

nah dude, they should keep doing what they are doing BUT, you guys should add like an "Extras" on the menu where those things Chuz mentioned would be... like better customes, moves, fatalities, levels, characters and even story. I like what you guys are doing.
but there are things about MK1 that bother me. We would be playing the same game with HD graphics. Some of the gameplay was good, some of it sucked. In this extra mode, you guys could fix what sucked. and on the same time you still have the original.

anyway thats my opinion.

MK4 was excellent, the home ports of the arcade version weren't perfect, but it was still very reasonable.

I probably play MK4 more than any other MK.

Wouldn't mind seeing a HD remake actually, wink wink, nudge nudge.

Somehow I missed him saying that the textures on the ninjas are wrong in this project. That's not true.. as we established earlier on in the project they used the same vests for the ninjas in 1 as in II... it's just they had crappy cameras when shooting the footage which washed out texture. But you could still make it out in the bigger pics such as in test your might. The better cameras and production in MKII allowed it to show through more in the sprites but it was still there in MK1.

It's ironic too because he was demanding this project not make the same mistakes yet he says that... using cheap cameras that wash out the detail was a part of the "mistakes" they made the first time around. This project is HD so it corrects that mistake... and part of it is being able to see textures like that more clearly. That's probably also why they included the texture in the klassic ninja costumes in MK9.

it's so funny, so people loved, mk1, also some other people says mk1 was the best but still we find this ¨GREAT¨ mistakes midway made, do you know how hard we work on this and midway work on mk1? and than this guy come here and says we are making (another garbage).

This sounds like Undertaker... Ninjas had same textures in MK1 as in MKII. As everyone SHOULD know.
 
Except for them wearing something different underneath in one vs 2 (karate gi vs wet suit) and the ninjas wearing BMX Masks in the vs\character portraits in II of course.
 
other differences is armbands and shin guards, which everyone knows.
I think he was talking about the diamond texture.

MK Warehouse sprites are inferior to Fly's sprite rips,
and they should be avoided for this project.

Yeah, exactly.. that's what he was talking about and like we said he is wrong. That was exactly my point... they wore the same vests in MK1 and II... but the bad low resolution cameras washed out much of the detail but you can still spot it some in the test your might sprites for example.
 
I just feel sorry for guys who do this project.
I am not able to create at least 1% of things they do, so that I imagine how much it is difficult, in spite that they don't get payment for their labor, like guys from Midway do.
And it is really cynically to continue to ask them for creations, knowing that, they are anyway going to create trash full of mistakes like Midway do.
Taking Reptile MK1 as example, I am even not going to explain why it is mistake, because Wikipedia can do it, so that if you want to make counter-response for MK Arcade Kollection you need to fix all mistakes made by midway 20 years ago due to their irresponsibility.
And special moves are the most primary mistake.

Here's this: you may hate whatever you happen to hate about MK1, but this is done by people who happen to like the game for what it is, and for this reason it's going to remain unaltered, save for the graphical and sound improvements.
Shouldn't be too hard to understand.

Unfortunately, it anyway doesn't matter anything.
Might guys from Midway also like garbage like heap of stupid characters from Armageddon, MK4 and cosplay series like Anihilation and Legacy Season 2. But is this junk successful?
Despite that, there are people who like to play by suckers like Hsu Hao, Kai, Frost, Jarek, Darius, in the same way there are people who like just sucking.
Anyway, it finaly led everything to creation of remake of original series without stupid characters and costumes with MK2011.
So, if you don't want to damp your reputation like Midway did, do not repeat their mistakes and fix their ones.
 
You're not being very coherent or original. They are making this remake the way they see fit, end of story. If you don't like it I bet they would welcome you not to play it.

Chuz just do everyone a favor and take your drama somewhere else. The people working on this project are doing it because they are FANS of the franchise. If you don't like it, that's fine, you are entitled to your opinion, but you aren't going to have many people here that share your feelings/opinions. Btw... you are welcome to "Fix" Midway's mistakes yourself, MUGEN is available to everyone, but the people here are doing what true FANS of the franchise want to see.

Did you mean fixing special moves of Reptile of this?
And what about Liu Kang's fatality?
I think it would look cool if opponent explodes after uppercut.
 
this guy does not know how much mortal kombat scored an ivy in times of arcades, So guys ball forward with this wonderful project, many fans of the series count with you, sorry for my bad english!

It will be like OMG-OMG-OMG-they've-got-like-a-thousand-moves perfect, plus there will be like 20 more hidden characters (having only reptile was Midway's biggest mistake ever, wasn't it?) and all characters will be able to transform like Shang Tsung. How cool is that?

And remember we will have, animality, fatality, brutality, hara kiri, friendship, moveable camera, also you will be able to creat your own character .... Like!!! Ummm goku or something and also play online, everything in one game.
