Photobucket shrinks the file, since it's too heavy...

I'll have to work on the enemy's animation tomorrow, at least I got this part done today.

The animation will have a little better quality in the game, since the different parts will have their own palettes of 256 colors each.

Theres been some really good work here. Im liking the music. And Bleed... you've constantly updated with new stuff. Huge props to that. It definitely is not an easy thing to do... I don't know if the project would still be going if it wasn't for that. What I've been doing this time was just practicing drawing portraits, so I havent updated with anything. The reason being that the references for Sonya (Elizabeth Malecki) was really blurry. By learning a bit more about the face structure it started to become easier to fill in those details, so I think I captured her likeness on paper pretty good. Now its time for some Zbrush sculpting. Of course I know Bleed can sculpt it out but I would still like to give it a go and make sure the quality is on par with the project, it wouldnt be fair to give anything less. Happy Holidays everyone!

Find Elizabeth Malecki's pics is really a difficult task. I have a few pictures of it too, but I believe they can help with anything.

The last image is a drawing I tried to do based on her.

The movie sonya is so much better looking...
Did they get different actors to play sonya in mk3 and mk1 because I remember the mk3 sonya looking pretty hot and mk 1 sonya looks pretty busted.

I don't know about others, but me... I do not care about Sonya's model being close to the actress. I do care about Carlos, Daniel, Ho and Richard tho. Probably because of the influence Kerri's version had in me.

Bleed: I think it would be great if Sub-Zero wouldn't become frozen in the final fatality sprite but rather on a loop animation, like stand... this is how it works in modern fighting games (and latest MK games).

Since holding BL now have an animation and not just a frozen sprite, I think seeing Sub-Zero frozen at the end of the fatality makes it a little bit "boring"... I would go for an spine dripping blood and a Sub-Zero breathing or something a little bit.

Note: Agressive face on Sub-Zero looks terrific...!

Bleed said his philosophy on this about 3 pages back:

"Don't keep anything still for too long, if you have a pause in the animation, at every 10 frames or so, jiggle the bones a little, so they are not exactly in the same spot. It'll make the character shift a bit, like you do in real life when standing still."

I don't think we have anything to worry about when it comes to the last frame of Sub-Zero's win pose being too static. Bleed will make it work.

Edit: MK1 Sonya is played by Elizabeth Malecki (that's who they need to model in this game). Movie is Bridgette Wilson and MK3 is Kerri Hoskins. Here's another pic of Malecki.

I like the Elizabeth Malecki's face. She isn't any kind of sex symbol like Kerri Hoskins was, but I believe Sonya Blade to be a fighter and s Special Forces member, also shouldn't have a very delicate likeness. (Sorry for my english)

WIP on the fall, I had to spend a long time on this one. With the speed I'm trying to mach, it's really hard to make it look natural and show some weight. :???:

The arm movements and twist of the hand works really well. And a nice subtle touch conveying weight.... when he falls to the ground how it shifts to the upper body. Good stuff!!

Grat!
and if the body fall to the ground after getting tremendous as having spasms after death, as the zombies from resident evil after the killing

This is great, I love how the legs bounce up a bit once his upper body collapses! You've got a great way to introduce subtle elements of realism without changing the gist of what happens in MK1.

Somehow, though, his head begins to look far away once he's lying down, like it's a little ways off in the distance. I'm not sure if anyone else is seeing that or if it's just me.
