MK1 Wasted Money

I may be the only one who thinks this, but doesn't it seem like buying the MK1 pack was a waste of money since now they're releasing all mk originals free with the compatibility packs?
 
eh it balances out, I LOVE the female MK3 outfits, don't like the males(well like reptile cuz he is human LOL) but like the classic fatalities.
 
It's not a waste of money because you can't get those costumes in the packs. But it is a waste of money because that stuff is on the disc already.
 
No regrets, I loved Ermac's and Reptile's MK1 costumes. Also, I use Scorpion's Toasty fatality above all others.
 
It theoretically was waste of money ONLY because these costumes and fatalities WERE on disc, actually, they were not DLC, but unlockable content *which is impossible to unlock without buying, LOL*.
But anyway i decided to buy - to support these good guys who gave us MK:)

ok here is my take on it... i got the following characters and or fatalities by exploiting pre-order terms ( MK scorpion form gamestop=kept, MK ermac from collector's/tournament[with MK9 arcade stick]=kept, MK sub zero=kept but sold later after taking out the dlc[i.e.dlc costume and online pass up for sale to anyone willing to giv me a VALID dlc character code] MK3 mileena=kept even tho the frien who got it from me sold the game[and dlc i.e. online pass and ermac code since it was collectors edition] so basically i gave up my amazon pre-order(reptile human MK) to buy a copy for a friend at wal-mart (afore mentioned millena issue) the same day it came out becuz he wanted to have it then but later sold the game part to a pawn shop for way less than it was worth so he could hav sum money(technically i was worse off without a job even tho he had one) so anyways i would love to hav the original 3 games especially since we get UMK3 which has everybody in MK9 except for the ones only in the previous games which are there including the game i already own (MKII-PSN-FTW_\m/) soooo i wish i could aford the pre order cost to get the arcade stick & the game but i cant do anythig until i move 1st so my hands are tied in regards to purchessing it YET!!? but i will just wait also anyone wanna practice on MK9 oline hit me up PSN is listed and i wont be cheap with kung lao i choose random 90% of the time lol it doesnt help me one bit but i prefer to be fair lol hit me up if you want i need all the GOOD conection battles i can get.... peace out ya"ll ...lmao idk y? blah blah blah ............drunk again............
 
oooooooooooooooooooH sap almost forgot I WILL BUY the reto pack(technically only for mk3 jade & kitana, aswell as the main reason MK REPTILE!!!!) and any DLC for this game even tho i think freddy doest make sennse (i read his bio...) i support the right of anything in this game becuz nether realm will eventually learn what the fans TRULY want its hard to see right now cuz of the nature of this game (reboot, fan-service) but the future of MK is now in debate and if we dont tell them soon it could all start goin down hill again...

I agree 100%. If I knew about the compatibility packs, I would have never got them. I don't care about 3 fatalities.
 
Really? Or i missed something, or... where are the compatibility pack with MK3 girlz? And MK1 males, how to get them for free?
 
Yeah, $5 for a few costumes and fatalities that are already on the disc is pretty ridiculous. They should have been free. I heard that on-disc DLC was supposed to be free anyway.

lol I think is better as it is (the mk2 version) in the MK3 version they guy screamed again when Reptile ate the torso even when he already ate the head and then screamed again when reptile ate his leags, lol it was randomly hilarious.
 
You seem to miss the point that they were Pre-order exclusives. If they don't charge for them, it kills the point of going to a certain store to pre-order the game, meaning less sales for some stores.
 
I would much rather use MK1 Reptile, even though I hardly use him. And what makes you think they're releasing all those costumes for free?

They shouldn't have charged for them, especially when all the games I got into started to f*** up because I had my pre-order Ermac and Scorpion. It wouldn't let me choose my MK 1 Scorpion and I was disconnected from a majority of my games. We really should not have had to pay for the klassics at all.

I only got the Klassic Costume set for the fatalities.

I had Scorpion's "Toasty" with my GameStop pre-order, and I wanted the "Spine Rip" and "Head Eat."

That's a completely different idea, what I'm saying is that even if the costumes weren't first pre-order bonuses, we would still have to pay for them. It kind of seems like a form of tricking us, saying they were free if you got it from a different store but you had to pay if you didn't pre-order, but now all the new Retro costumes are free. Basically, when you can't tell the difference between MK2 Kitana and MK3 Kitana, I would have rather waited for the Compatibility pack than pay $5 for another one.
