There's alternate costumes for everyone, tons of codes for different types of matches and fatalities, and some pretty sweet concept art. And while story mode isn't mandatory to do, I'd consider the characters you get in it to be unlockables since they ARE unlocked and you get a trophy for doing so.

Man cmon i LOVE the game :) Alright alright, though i wouldnt count the codes for fatalities or matches "sweet unlockables" (i used google to get them all on release day... so yay, just unlocked them for completion), i agree, the general amount of content in this game is pretty sweet.

Since when was it a game for Comic Book characters? This game is infinitely better than MvDCU even if they were to add Boogerman to the roster. And that's coming from a comic book fan.

And actually, Freddy was also a video game character before Mortal Kombat was even thought of :p And still, he's a better MK character than people like Mokap, Hsu Hao, and a few others regardless of if they're original or not.

ill tell you all something. im alot more excited that freddy is gunna be in this game than i was about kratos, and im no kratos hater. freddy is ****ing awesome! but i hope the fix the fact that he is wearing 2 gloves when he should have 1 glove like in the nightmare on elm street movies. the only other thing thats sorta kinda bothers me is the fact that freddy is in people's dreams. so is everyone in mk sleeping?? like on freddy vs jason when they got freddy into the real world out of his dream world, he had none of his powers. all he could do was hack and slash with hit glove. he couldnt teleport or anything special. so i hope theres some kind of explaination for that.

Shao Kahn laughs DURING the fight, lol.

And Skarlet, Rain and Kenshi doesn't have any lines cause NRS is lazy and didn't employed new voice actors. Simple as that.

yea i was annoyed that they weren't given any talking parts.

I wouldn't even care if they hired their 68 year old janitor.

Only things i read on this were in an interview:

Will Freddy’s ability to invade his victims’ dreams play into his Mortal Kombat incarnation in any way?
Yeah, you’ll see some of that. His story ending really plays into that. In the middle of a fight, you won’t see him entering a guy’s head in a dream sequence or anything, but there is plenty of dream-related stuff in his introduction animation, his victory stance, his fatalities and so forth.

Well, we've seen all of those things. I don't recall any dream element in them.
