How YOU feel about guests in MK

I just want to know how you guys feel about guests in this game. I personally hate guests because it makes MK not MK. I will download them to give them a chance and not cheat other players out of using them, but I just dont feel like they belong in MK. I dont think they would put a guest in an older Mk though, why do it now?

This is not for people to argue and get mad at others about either, if you disagree just say so, dont make a big deal about.
 
I'm fine with the one's we have for two reasons. We have more MK characters than guests so it's still MK. Second, they fit well with MK. People go all silly and say to that 'oh well lets have Crash Bandicoot then!' It's that overreaction I don't take seriously. As long as they fit and Freddy does. :)
 
To put it another way, Link was one of my favourite characters in Soul Caliber. If they play well, I see no problem with including guest characters. It adds a bit of fun and variety to the game, fighters have the luxury of NOT having to be completely wrapped up in their own sense of realism.
 
It ruin's the MK universe. Think of all the other kombatants that could have DLC spots rather than movie stars and charcaters from other games. If more guests keep joining the Mortal Kombat tournament it will not feel like mortal kombat anymore. So please boon no more :) just stick to the MK universe kombatant's...........
 
I am fine with Kratos, and would be happy with someone like Jago or Fulgore from Killer Instinct, or Spawn for example, but Freddy Kreuger goes too far, it makes Mortal Kombat look cheap and lame. A large part of this new game was to make the game tournament worthy, or in my mind, more respected, within the general fighting game community. Freddy Kreuger feels like a major step backwards. He would of been more acceptable back in the MK3 days to be honest.
 
I see them all as extra stuff, that does not hurt the game core ...... they are not in Story Mode, so, what's the matter, what's the big deal having them separate for just online and ladder ? People are doing too much drama because of this ...........
 
I'm more or less against it, but if you remain optimistic about it, it opens the door for alot of new players to get into the world of Mortal Kombat. Sure they'll use lame characters at first, but given they really take to the game, we could just maybe end up seeing some more strong competition online!

On that note, guest characters are stupid for the loyal MK fans who have been waiting patiently to see if their favorite character(s) excluded from the original line up will finally get their chance to shine. Freddy's a waste to me, but I'll still give him a shot
