I totally disagree with the S+ tier.
This category imho shouldn't exist, Reptile - Cyrax and Jax are S tier.
I also think that Quan Chi is A+ Tier and Shang is S tier.

If only Tom Brady had the balls to use Mileena in a tournament. For all the talk about how great Mileena is, he seems reluctant to prove it.
 
Why am I the only one who seems to use Smoke Away/Towards?

You can get some crazy punishes in if you learn how to use those right; most of my Meter with smoke goes toward his EX Smoke Towards.

The only characters Tom actually plays in tourney play are SubZero, Kung Lao, Noob Saibot, and Nightwolf. He uses other characters casually but he would never bring them out in a tourny.
 
wtf is with these tier lists.

people talking about god tiers (nobody in this game is close to god tier, if you think so, you probably need to lrn2play) and s+ tier now? is it to try and avoid people from complaining about a char thats considered b tier?

i was ok with a+ and i kept my mouth shut on s tier...but s+? god tier? ok i know this list itself doesnt have god tier in it but i see people posting things like "should be god tier" and it ....freaks me out.

ill just change it in my head. reptile/jax/cyrax=A tier, quanchi and such in D tier.

but as for the tier list. i hate it when they incorperate bugs/unintended mechanics in tier lists, mainly because that means they are allowed in tourneys, and i find that sad from a competitive viewpoint. ban dlc cuz people dont know what it has but lets keep the jax infinites...bleh.

as for what i think of placement. why is reptile above ones like kung lao now? ive heard of no buffs to him, or is that another unintended mechanic? and cyrax has also had no changes but nerfs and hes in this new s+ tier? someone find something else on him too?

gah, ill let the pros discuss this, because its just confusing/aggravating me.
 
I still think tiers are useless in this game. The least praised characters are STILL balanced enough to be highly competitive in the right hands. I do GREAT with Stryker. And, I think I might just spend some time with Sheeva. Just to drive people nuts.


Kung Lao is not the god everyone claims him to be. He never was. Sure he has a lot of tools. But everything he can throw at you can be avoided as easily as anyone elses moves. Just have to know how, and have the reflex and intuition to do so.

Couple notes, I think REO has everyone in varying degrees of A and S tiers to signify that every character in the game is viable, that's all.

Also, changes don't need to be made to the character to alter their tier standings. Someone could figure out a new trick with the character or discover another way to deal with a match-up and make it more favorable or whatever. Like Scorpion back in the demo, Tom Brady was all ready to give him a number of buffs before he figured out a couple things about that him that would've made him crazy-broken if he had gotten those buffs. No buffs were given to Scorpion at the time but his value suddenly went up anyway.

He lost his Bomb Trap setup, yes. However, I've heard of a number of resets that net 60% damage with only one bar spent. Any character that can put out that much damage even after losing some muscle like that sounds like a pretty strong fighter to me.

Mileena is not his main. Yeah he says shes great, but that doesnt he is great with her. You really need to stop being so obsessed with mileena lol

I've become obsessed with the fact the he is obsessed with Mileena.
Dude's made like 4 threads for her alone.
1 of them was to see if people wanted Mileena in MK10.
Another was complaining because he doesn't see enough Mileena online.


On topic: I'm glad Jax has moved on up (to the east side).
Those buffs he got are just too sexy.
That GP cancel being the best IMO.
 
Don't get Reo wrong guys, Quan Chi still has the rune trap, he just cant do the strings after skydrop that easily anymore. Reo told QC users many times that his wake-up attack is too unbearable (he refuses to deal with bad wake up game, its personal obviously), it leaves him on the lower end with Baraka and Sheeva.

Ask Circus, I had matches with him earlier today. Groundblast is even faster than before since Noob got better advantage with his blackhole. Though.

I only disagree with Kano, Kung Lao and Quan Chi.
Kano should be in front of both Liu Kang and Smoke, I cringe when I see that portion of the tier list.
Kung lao should be before or in front of reptile, he is still a monster lol
 
Can anyone put up Tom's latest tier list, I'm just wondering where he placed Quan Chi, I personally find it hard to accept he is that low... that is a very bold placement for a character he once used.
