It means "destructive spirit," which makes a pretty broad term definition wise. I mean destruction isn't really locked to one thing, it isn't like most of the ninjas I.E. Sub-Zero deals with the cold gimmick, Scorpion links to the rope dart which mimics the stinger of the insect of the same name, Reptile because he was green and eventually revealed to be a lizard man, Smoke deals with him being gray and actually now being revealed to be an enenra or "smoke spirit," and Rain was originally just based off of a prince song and now has powers over water a lightning which matches a rain storm. Heck even Chameleon fit his name because he changed colors like the lizard of the same name. Ermac even fits to an extent because he came from a rumor made by the fan base, which explains why he eventually became what he is now a being made up of numerous souls. The only one that doesn't really fit is Noob Saibot.

So if there was to be a sand ninja, he would most likely be linked to the desert and so why not go with a name that has ties to the desert. Set fits that because of being a god of the desert.

looks like theres no point in this thread anymore. tremor sucks. the whole "Thug idea" some people like is just dumb IMO

Just have Tremor have a ground punch that sends a wave across the ground so it sweeps low like Darkseid's ground hit in MK vs DCU.

Have him use Captain Marvel's clap move, but instead of it knocking the opponent away it could function like a short rage stun move like Sindel's scream.

Then just have him throw a projectile that is concentrated seismic energy, it could be a projectile that knocks down to get over how powerful it is. The EX version he could throw out in three directions like Nightwolf's EX arrow.

I mean I know some people want to see Tremor hurling boulders at people, but I like to think that because a tremor deals with vibrations, he should have a move that actually deals with it. He doesn't control the earth but the very energy that causes the earth to tremble.

Just a quote from the Tremor page on the Mortal Kombat Wiki:

So he has the ability to punch the ground and cause tremors, he can shoot stone missles that petrify the enemy for a few seconds and his colour changed to brown to match his earth-based powers. To me that's a pretty good reason why he's associated with Earth-based powers. The only thing that didn't sound 'Earth-like' was the Fireball. But hey, there have been plenty of characters in the past that have had different moves and changed. Human Smoke used to have a spear like Scorpions and that changed ;)

Also I think that if he was made a Sand Ninja it would be too much like Gaara from Naruto -_- ​
 
The problem with giving Tremor a Ground Pound is that, it would basically have to copy either Jax or Sheeva.

Personally, a big earthen ninja would suffer the same problems Sheeva has; they are a slow powerful character in a game where Speed is basically everything.
 
Guess no1 liked the tremor in my sig...ah well... Stefan what's with the small yellow font? Ur killing my eyes lol
 
Cyber Smoke because he deserves a spot in this game because he was in MK3, Tremor was only in a shitty spin-off game. Not that I wouldn't enjoy Tremor, but he shouldn't cut in line over Cyber Smoke.

I did notice the Tremor in your sig actually just didn't say anything. Also, I like the Chameleon there too ;).

My font isn't small lol. No matter what forum I am on I always use Tahoma font, size 2, and Yellow font. Always have since I was young lol.

I believe that Cyber-Smoke should only deserve a spot as an alternate costume or perhaps later on after other characters have been released. We've had Smoke in games previous to this and I think it's time to give Tremor a chance. This game is a complete re-boot to the series and the best thing to do would be to try out new characters (e.g. Skarlet). Tremor would be a welcome addition. They could easily make his moves usable and speedy. Everyone thinks of Earth as being slow. No one has obviously seen Avatar: The Last Airbender then. There could be speeding rocks shot to the opponent (not to dissimilar to Dr. Doom on Marvel VS. Capcom) or even a move of Tremor's foot and the earth moves beneath the opponent doing some sort of damage. He could lift his arm up and a pillar of earth could shoot up from the ground. He could easily be made so it is as speedy as other characters. I think anyway

Why is everyone obessed with Tremor? Lol, he's like a joke. Was in special forces and everyone freaks out about him. IMO, we have our fair share of ninjas. I would be on board with Chameleon (Not Khameleon), but after that I would be sick of the 'jas. Let's add a gold ninja and call him "Sunshine". He can have light powers and shoot hadokens. He was in the background of the Pit 3 in UMK3!! (See, it gets pretty rediculous.) Cyber smoke was a character that has been in alot of games, and he needs to be put back in. Nostaligia factor, guys. Who DOESN'T want to pull his "blow up the world" fatality again??
 
Tremor is the same size as Jax.
Jax is a speed demon in this game.

Why do people think Tremor would be slow?

That; If he has his ground pound, it would probably be like Sheeva's, which is incredibly slow and easy to see coming.

I am willing to givey ou the benefit of the doubt; could you post some footage of Fast Jax? Burden of proof lies with you :P
