Yeah they could make it a blockable popup that you can integrate into combo strings with less startup frames but more recovery frames so it'd be more akin to kung lao's spin move

Finally my favourite character! Guys, seriously, Rain was already pretty light design-wise in Armageddon, so...

I hope they keep an arabic look for Rain, seriously, he's no "ninja" per se, so don't try to make him look like one. I want something exotic for him...
 
I'd like to Rain fight for Edenia against Shao Kahn, even if he works with him at first plotting revenge for his home of Edenia. I always thought he should be a relative of Kitana and/or earn the role of protector of Edenia after the Emperor is defeated. Nightwolf and him both have a lightening attack I'd like to see some variation on the two so they arn't identical. Rain's ability to control storms is fasinating and has alot of potential for awesome and unique attacks.

This is not entirely true... getting REALLY GOOD with 1 or 2 characters, will take you farther than trying to get good with too many.

Almost all the top players of most games i play, play 1-2 characters at most. Sometimes they manage a couple more. But they are garbage (At their level) with everyone else. I'm not saying they are noob garbage with all the other characters. They could probably get far with any character with little time put in. But Sticking to 1-2 will only make those EVEN MORE BETTER. You'll know every situation and every way around it. Where as if you play 9 characters, It will take you 9 times longer to get as good as a guy who plays only 1.

Who would you rather have in place of Rain,since in your opinion he is a waste of resources.Thats right I remember you from another thread saying you "expect and support the inclusion of Freddy & Jason as DLC.So let me get this right,you would rather have a cheap ass gimmick like those 2 in a MK game instead of a actual MK character?cmon now! If you dont want him dont buy him.but please stop complaining about him you sound like a broken record.

I also agree that Gobblesnoofers is a funny screen name,in a good way. ;)

I guess they didn't give lightning fatality to Raiden or Nightwolf because they already had Rain in mind.
I'm really happy we're getting Rain and Kenshi, Skarlet looks pretty cool and all these characters this summer. Great!

Reminds me of an Arabian horseback warrior. It thankfully ditches the cape and tiara of his previous look lol. Wouldn't be a bad look for him, in my opinion. Especially if his other costume is more old school.

I know Rain would look awesome whatever they make him look like.

The only thing im afraid, that can make him look like crap, is him getting unmasked, that would suck and would be the worst thing they could do to him.

I hope his MKA outfit becomes his alt.

Nice to see you back, Fox.

I don't really like the cape and tiara, but keeping thematically similar to his MKA outfit would be a cool alt.

IMO they should give Rain short hair and a headband along with a mask like his MKA mask as for his body he should wear gold accented purple clothes his alt. color could be a dark purple where as his default costume would be more royal purple

That's cool, IDK why but I think his mask will be like Skarlet's, a mask that covers from the nose to the entire neck.

I was trying to make my prediction close to the silhouette of him they showed it looks to me like he has a headband but yea he'll probably have a mask like that or something covering his neck like all the other ninjas (except Reptile)
 
Fun fact about Rain: in all 3 playable appearances he has made in the MK series (Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and Mortal Kombat 2011 as DLC), all of the other male ninjas have appeared alongside him.


It's going to epic seeing him alongside Noob, Smoke, Ermac, Reptile, Sub-Zero, and Scorpion in this game. Can't wait until August! :mrgreen:
