Why don't you think any girls can compete high level in fighting games?

I know girls who really like fighting games, but there are none that can take it seriously against the top players. How awesome would it be to have at least 1 girl in the fighting scene giving comp to the guys. It's not a physical thing as their finger dexterity is just as good as males. So what do you think it is??
 
I think the title of this thread is misleading. There's no reason why girls "can't" compete in tournament level fighting games. Girls just "don't" compete in tournament level fighting games. I can tell you without any doubt that Goddess could play tourney level right now. She knows the mechanics of the game very well and can get inside my mind during a match just as well as any guy could.

My problem is proximity. There is literally NO fighting game scene where I live.

Fair enough. I guess it's understandable a girl who can beast in a game wouldn't want to attend an event where the male:female ratio is 80:1. But that wouldn't explain why there aren't any popular online females atop the leaderboards.

Female gamers are rare, fighting gamer girls are an even more elusive breed. It is a perplexing question, though.

Im guessing there is more guys than girls.alot of girls i know play male characters and the rest of the girls just arent into video gaming.

now this as honest as i kan be.

there is no reason to think woman are all rainbows and butterflys when push comes to shove we men push back im a second but women are more smart and calculating with there actions.

we may beat them but they will keep comming at u with smart tricky well thought out plans that will rec ur shit. and that dont al ways translate well in to react now. like in tourneys.

if any one takes offence to my post i'm sorry.

I agree completely with this post. I'll use my own PSN ID as an example. It's "OMGJohnnyCage." There's no way of telling if I am male or female, based on username alone.
