Kenshi was previously announced as a DLC release alongside Skarlet. That has not been overturned by NRS and thus there's no reason to believe he won't still be packaged with Skarlet. IGN has a history of wording articles poorly and other such detail-oriented mistakes, they may have left him out, received no information about Kenshi, or something of the like.

That having been said, I am getting really suspicious of NRS remaining so silent on the Kenshi front. I wonder if anyone has talked to Boon via Twitter about this...
 
Skarlet, What should we expect?

Now i know there is a hype over the new ninja girl, that has never been in MK before(or so says my research), and im digging that. and shes a red ninja, also awesome.

What kind of moves should we expect from her? Anyone know something i dont? Good? Bad? Neutral? Fire user? Telekinetic?(hope not)

And also, what do you all think about her joining the lineup?

If she is an elemental (using blood powers) im looking at her, if she is another generic armed girl count me out.

I'd say a mix of elemental and armed. She clearly uses her two short swords and her kunais but I doubt she'd just appear out of blood for her intro and then have no blood-based moves.

If you are following her news, and the posts here, so, yeah, you should know everything about.

About her moves, well, we gonna see and confirm them on Monday, in the official video release, so, by now, IMO, I give a guess what I think they might could be, but maybe I'm wrong on some of them :

Up Slash: slice up move more or less like Nightwolf axe
Down Slash: slice move down, more or less like Scorpion low sword
Blood Drop: IMO, a teleport move. "Drop" word calls for a teleport , hehe. Maybe something more or less as Quan Chi teleport ..... something falling from sky ......
Red Dash: dash move, more or less like Nightwolf shoulder dash, but, I think Skarlet does an additional slice during the dash
Blood Ball: a ball roll move, IMO, a bit diferent from Kano, for Skarlet, see her X-Ray
Dagger Toss: projectile move, she throws kunais
Air Dagger : projectile move in the air, in a 45 degree angle

She is a ninja, but, plays different from Mileena, Kitana and Jade, no carbon copy.

I expect her to be quick and a competitive character, mid tier at least.

I am not sure what to expect, but her leaked intro and fatality have got me very excited.

We can expect complaints from the never satisfied crew. Aside from that she looks to be a very savage character in nature.

Well so far she fits the cookie cutter design of every female in MK9: High heels, stripper outfit, all one color, weapon style, same exact leg models, etc.

Really? that's every single female in any fighter. MK does some justice. They don't 36Z breast sizes, unlike other games...

Complainers these days..

Sadly, there is some serious overlap in their physical stylings, but I'm hoping they actually make her play well. If she's a fun character to fight as then I'll more satisfied than if they made her look crazy original but she's a boring fighter.

For what it's worth, I've heard somewhere on the boards here that Tom Brady (the MK-guru of sorts, not the football player, for those that don't know lol) has told us to expect an A-tier Skarlet. For what it's worth.

I'm not saying I like the "skank-bag" look, just saying it's a secondary concern for me. I don't, however, expect them to change it in the future. NRS has gone skankier and skankier with its female characters from the very beginning. For better or worse, it's prolly gonna stay that way. =\

I don't know why people get so up in arms about characters dressing scantily in video games. Sure, it only really appeals to horny young teenagers and the like.. but if that's how they get their rocks off so be it. It's not like it's your girlfriend walking down the street dressed like a hooker, for Christsake. I'm excited to see what all Skarlet is about, although she is not my most anticipated DLC character (as beforehand, she was nothing more but a lame mugen character to me) I say that the over-the-top complainers that complain about everything can go suck it. =\

It's not the fact that they dress like sluts that bothers me, so much as it's the fact that they take up a costume slot that could have been put to better use by creating a more interesting costume. Just my personal opinion lol.
