Raiden in Story Mode

I only wish Raiden had made the message to his past self a little clearer I mean, how cryptic is "he must win." ?

Yeah. I mean, I get that he had to spit it out, but he could've said whoever it may be instead of "He." It was like "He must win. *slight pause* *hammer smashes head*" But noooo sir, it couldn't have been "[Whoever must win] must win. *hammer smashes head*" It's kind of irritating lol. It even would've been better to say "[Whoever must win] mus- *slight pause* *hammer smashes head*"

Seriously bro, "Shao Kahn should win MK3." Was it that hard to say? You found time to sound off an essay in ancient Latin.
 
Can't we agree to disagree?? Both Liu Kang and Raiden are huge dicks! Oh and Shao Kahn for breaking the rules and invading.. and Sindel for killing my favorite characters... everyone in MK9 was a Dick :(

It was certainly intentional, since Liu got all angry with Raiden. But the real dick is Sindel. I mean, how the Netherrealm did she single-handedly killed seven characters?? (Were they even only seven?)

Edit: No, there were eight, I had forgotten one. Let me see, Stryker, Kabal, Jax, Smoke, Jade, Kitana, Nightwolf, Sub-Zero.

Because she was infused with a martini of Quan Chi's sorcery (look how strong it made Scorpion) and the soul of Shang Tsung (which itself was infused with the souls of other warriors). She basically had the Deadly Alliance inside of her. As wrong as that sounds..

Sure I missed somethings, but even if he did get visions everything still went by original story.
EXCEPT for somethings.
Also, those characters who "didn't exist" did, but they were behind the scenes.

This is the INTERNET, spelling mistakes WILL happen.
We cannot be perfect at typing like you apparently are.

It was a joke, lol. Don't let the butthurt initiate. And I meant that they were not present (NPC or otherwise) in MK1-MKT.

Lol Sindel has the DP....I mean DA inside of her...ummm well yeah Raiden made some mistakes in this story. But I think in the end he's gonna fix it. I mean he saved Cage and he's gonna end up punching Shinnok in the balls until he dies.
 
raiden wasn't the dick and liu kang wasn't the dick. the real dicks were sindel and shoa kahn who made everything difficult for raiden and lui kang. btw i've never seen a thread with the word dick in it so muck^_^
 
Raiden wasn't a dick, just a dumbass, but he's always been kind of a dumbass. There are only two video game characters who are more gullible than Raiden: Shujinko and Raziel. That's why I like Fujin, he's all like, "****, Raiden are you really that dumb? Just because you're a god doesn't mean you shouldn't get out every once in a while, try to learn some damn social skills."

In all fairness, Liu Kang did beat the shit out of everyone he fought. Including Shao Kahn. Twice.

Raiden was a dick (to himself more so than anyone else) and so were the elder trolls, I mean gods. Raidens message didn't make any sense either; Khan winning in either of the previous tournaments would have led to him taking over Earth realm unchecked and unchallenged with the approval of the elder Gods. He actually had to lose enough times until he was convinced to invade earth realm AND then the Elder Gods would intervene, destroying him.

So basically Raiden trolled himself from the future. And for that reason, he is the biggest dick ever.
 
I really don't like how they handled raiden's character in the more recent versions of MK. He was bad azz in the orginaly trilogy. I hate how they poosified him as more of a mentor.
