Raiden in Story Mode

I also cannot understand the death of Kung Lao. In fact I thought he would be the secret hero in this game. It's the first time he didn't looked like a mexican Cowboy but like a real chinese ****ing Shaolin warrior and that is (was) awesome.

I feel also with Raiden. He really tried to safe the earthrealm. Usually he would let Liu Kang fight with him, but he knows that something has to change. In fact, nothing changed, except that Raiden "killed" Shao Kahn instead of Liu Kang. I hope Liu Kang will never return. I've never liked him.

I HATE his look in this game.
It's so ugly, when I heard they were going to their roots this was one of the models I was excited to see.
I probably would've used him if he wasn't so ugly.

yup i feel the same way. kung lao looks like an old uncle in this game. raiden looks dorky too.

To me neither were dicks. The situation was just bad. Liu became like that to Raiden (understandably) because all his friends just died and it seemed like Raiden's actions were just making matters worse. But, since we see what Raiden sees (flashbacks and such), it's hard to call him a dick because he was just trying his best to prevent Armageddon.

you gotta put yourself in both their shoes... raiden had the visions, and wanted to prevent armageddon no matter what... a lot of people died, but i believe he would have given his own life to prevent it too, because whats a few lives to save millions?... from liu kang's point of view, all his friends died because raiden has had these so called "visions" from the future (which only he has seen), and on top of all that he tells liu kang that they must let the man that killed kung lao and caused the deaths of all of liu kang's friends, WIN... i dont know about you, but if i were liu kang, i'd be pretty pissed too...

I wish that Raiden could've left all of those warriors in a safer place while him and Liu Kang were gone i.e. somewhere they didn't just get ambushed. He left them there and they all got killed by one freaking GMILF, and when they return, Raiden goes to the Netherrealm and is like "Oh hay guise, u wan thur soles Quan Chi?/" Then after that, he don't make an attempt to confine Liu Kang in any way but with words, and mows him down. Now tell me, is that not something a dick would do, or at least a dumbass?

That's a terrible misconception. Raiden didn't just offer their souls, he offered his own as well if Quan Chi would help him overthrow Shao Kahn. There can be more ER warriors, there can only be one Earth Realm.

Then he tried to stop Liu, and he didn't intentionally fry him. Liu tried to attack Raiden, Raiden tried to stop him but the mix of power shot through Liu.

Raiden is a god and he can't confine a single warrior? Come on. I seriously doubt that's the case. Also, I realize that there can be more Earthrealm warriors, but would you want nearly a completely new cast for a new game?
