Rumor at this point but apparently frequent rage quitters will be punished by starting future matches with only 50% health

I love rage quitters. Whenever PSN gets back up, I hope to run into some.

BRB, going to kick someone's ass so bad, they rage quit.

I havent played that many matches but Ive gotten about 5 rage quitters so far. I think its hilarious whens someone rage quits in KOTH matches
 
That would be pretty cool if it happens; I haven't played KOTH or any other online modes yet but I'm pretty sure its embarrassing to RQ in front of a bunch of people; that would be punishment enought lol; now seeing someone's health starting at 50% percent would be like a warning symbol of a rage quitter.

Its hilarious when someone rage quits in KOTH... The match will be going on and then INSTANTLY.. "PAY YOUR RESPECTS" and the whole room if they got mics ridicules him and gives 0.0's to the winner

Lol, thaat does sound pretty funny; man, I can't wait for PSN to get back up; one other thing, since the "PAY YOUR RESPECTS" thing comes up, does the rage-quitter still get a loss on their record?
 
I hope thats true! Also I hope if you were to get disconnected by accident that you dont get this penalty.
As long as they balance it out and dont screw those who never RQ

I have had a few Rage Quitters when the PSN was up it was hilarious!
 
I was playing with a friend for a couple of matches, no quitting beforehand, and my health was at 50% for some reason for one game. :( bad luck i guess. But the ragequit idea is great.

This is what im afraid is going to happen. Those of us who play with honor will get shafted by some glitch or another

There is both a "Rage Quit" and "Disconnect" section to the win loss records so im sure they can distinguish between the two. Also to further the punishment on Themortalkombat.com there is a section in the leaderboard where you can see the top rage quitters in the game
 
lol you cant even imagine how many times im ragging quitting in Tekken 6... not online... offline XD i suck at Tekken.. i get beaten up all the time by Xiahou or what ever her name is...
 
Why should rage quitters be punished? They lose the game automatically if they quit.

Also, I believe that you can input a code on the loading screen to give you 50% health. I had it happen to me on accident. He played Noob Saibot and I played Sub-Zero, I was surprised when I entered the game with half health and he had full health. I had only played less than ten games at that time. I beat him in one round and came close to winning in the second round, but he just sat back and kept doing the same move.

Nonetheless, I ragged out of that one. It should have been a win, that guy wasn't good.
 
I don't think it's the guy being punished. I have a feeling that he was mashing buttons at the VS screen and accidentally inputted the 50% health code. I've done this to myself a few times, and even started the match with 25% health before haha.

Yeah the kode is
0-0-0 1-1-0 for player 2 half health I believe.
 
I raged quit out of a MK match before. Severe lag with someone spamming Raiden's superman attack was so fustrating. But, that's just 1 match of 98. Im sure everyone here has raged quit before.
