Brand new Check combos (Mileena dash-triple-uppercut FTW!)

So far Mileena is actually the most diverse as far as heavy hitting combos go. When you think you've seen it all:

Compared to the awesome combos Mileena, Scorpion and Cage have, Sub-Zero is bordering on broken.

You do realize that he tested this game for them right? So what's in the demo we won't be able to do thank god...

Hopefully they'll heavily limit the damage on these combos. But the actual combos should be kept, just much harder to do, so that the hardcore leet don't completely run over normal people in 10 seconds. Mileena's and Cage's are incredibly awesome and widely varied.

Subzero, yeah that shit needs fixing.

Hopefully the team strikes a balance so that everyone gets to enjoy it. :)
 
Has anyone actually pulled off Check's SZ Ice Puddle spam? It must be really strict timing, I've tried so many times and just cannot trap the opponent that way.

Thank goodness it's just the demo eh? haha. Still though, these combos are pretty cool.

If Check has been testing the game then NRS is well aware that these high damage combos are in the game. Obviously NRS wants high damage in order to encourage players to use combobreakers.

However: someone tried to reproduce that awesome 15 hit combo that she used against Sektor in her combo video? Although some of those displayed here are even more impressive!

Yeah, I felt like that too, but a bit of practice is all it took. I prefer coming up with combos myself though, it's a lot more fun and rewarding than copying someone else's.

Calling it: Broken'd

Only thing remotely close to broken is Sub's ground freeze trap. If OP cannot block/tech roll that on wakeup, then you can call it broke. Otherwise, those juggles and damage are legit.

What scares me (well, not really...) is that you will have to spend so many hours on EVERY character to be somewhat good; I remember I spent at least TWO days on each character in Soul Calibur IV, but that was a different and more complex game.


I agree, they didn't add a "custom combo" system if you have to just copy other players' style. I think that is where most of the fun resides.
And if I suck who cares, it will be a lot of fun anyway, unless the AI difficulty is low like in the demo or frustrating/near unplayable like in MKII...
