Do you think Sheeva and Smoke will be secret characters?

I hate having to post this list over and over again but I think someone has to at this point:

Both Quan Chi and Smoke are going to be in the starting roster. If they were DLC then their INTROs wouldn't be on the disk already.

And about the 26 characters slots. All the recent magazines and reports have said 26, but yea it MIGHT chance. Somehow I doubt that though.
Secret characters aren't included in that 26 though, so don't even fret about that.

Well Kabal was basically revealed because of the Australian report. The only word we havent heard from is Sheeva, unless you count Lupinko as a source. Smoke was in the sound leaks but some people are skeptical that might not be his intro. Either way, every character expected fits in the 26.

that basically leaves out:

the thing is we DON'T get just 26, Quan Chi was in the voice leaks and in that australian article so I take it that he's in. that makes it 27 characters (strictly mk, not counting kratos). that makes me think that the two bosses are not in the actual select screen. I don't think the bosses will actually be playable via the select screen.. Shang Tsung maybe (and probably) yeah but not Goro or Shao Kahn. if the bosses are indeed not in the select screen, there's one spot left and since we won't be getting Cyborg Smoke or Unmasked Subzero and nothing was leaked about Motaro.. my guess is that either that guy whose name I don't recall is right so Kintaro is in, but if he is and not selectable in the screen, we get another spot available which means both Rain and Sheeva are in, or Rain or Sheeva is in the final roster
 
GORO IS UNPLAYABLE AND SHAO KAHN IS EITHER UNLOCKABLE OR UNPLAYABLE, why are people still including him in the damned main roster :|. And ninja, really? Unmasked Sub-Zero? Noob is the original freaking Sub-Zero and the younger Sub-Zero is the Sub-Zero in the game, where are we gonna get an unmasked version from? And Cyborg smoke is most likely DLC from Boon's poll.
 
Smoke will be on the disc along with sheeva and kabal and quan chi. we will see shao kahn playable but he will be unlocked like in mk vs dc. so im not counting him in the original roster.

Buddy, you have 27 in your list when every magazine in the world in the past 2 weeks has said 26. And you completely left out Human Smoke. Completely. And Unmasked Subzero? That's Noob Saibot.
I seriously don't understand why people aren't believing Lupinko about Sheeva. I'm sooooooooooooooooooo stumped by it. It kills me.

like I said I don't believe the bosses are selectable in the screen. if you ask me, I believe all fighters will make it except for the two duplicates. Rain may not make it if he is DLC indeed but since so many people don't trust boon I guess I have no reason to as well. that, along with the fact that guy was right about so much stuff (the one that said kintaro is in too) makes me think Rain might make it as well and Sheeva too, 'covering' the spots of bosses that will not be selectable in the final screen.

as for the unmasked subzero comment, I know the story but I just wrote every single character in MKT plus the extras. story-wise yeah we could not get him but if you haven't noticed, mortal kombat was never taken as seriously as it should have been by its own creator company. want facts? story wise too many blanks, sucky stuff, cheesy stuff, stuff that are valid in mk1 and invalid in mk 2 for example and so on. ninjas used to be palette swaps. they took motaro's freaking centaur image and made him look like a pissed off satyr in mka. I don't think I should even go on. and as I mentioned in another thread, mortal kombat in its full potential only exists in the hearts and minds of fans who see , imagine and get creative over the storyline or character movesets, fatalities etc. so don't blame me for mentioning him, the company never took the game seriously enough so for all we know unmasked subzero could get somehow into the game as a hidden one or DLC or whatever else.

I'm sorry to rain on your parade dear but:


Look at Rain on the right in the first pic.

Just like Tanya and Li Mei being in the background, Rain is in his costume from previous MK games. Meaning they didn't make a new model for him. Meaning that he will not be a playable character. Maybe he will be DLC because of popular demand. But this about 100% proves that he is not one of the starter roster characters. or secret characters.

ANND about the NRS studios not taking the story too seriously in the past: they're obviously caring for this one this time around.

about before.. Smoke is no 5. in the list , I just didn't type human in front :P and about Rain.. he's my favorite so I crave for him to be in even if each time you lose you gotta do some stupid trick in the select screen to get him again :P and yeah I remember the background pic but I THINK, not sure cause it was too fast, he is no longer there in the Noob Saibot video. anyway, I still have my hopes up. Rain being in the initial roster, plus a pc release, I got those two wishes for the new mk :P
 
The pics in the video I posted were given to us by NRS after they released the Noob Saibot trailer.

And sorry about missing Smoke on your list. I was looking for "Human Smoke" for some reason.
 
crap.. well , I still have hope. I crave for Rain to be in the initial roster :( this mk is the best one yet in the whole series and they have done some great work on each character.. kinda lazy fatalities-wise but still. leaving just one or two characters out is incredibly annoying if you ask me. I'd be just as stunned if they left out just stryker for god's sake. anyway, we'll see, I won't believe anything about Rain till I see it :P
 
I would like to state that in my earlier post, I wasn't trying to say that I don't believe that Sheeva will be a part of the initial roster because for the moment I still believe that she will. It's just the fact that there is still the possibility no matter how small or illogical that somehow she may not be a part of MK9 unless or until she is officially confirmed or otherwise leaked. Don't get me wrong I'm sure Lupinko is some sort of insider or a magical wizard that bestows his knowledge unto the village folk from on high but I've seen many such sources end up wrong in the past no matter their level of credibility. That said, I still agree with the roster Bruce Norris and NothingRhymesWithCircus have posted.

Think Fan service game and atleast 2 unplayable characters.... I think this is a fair picture of what to expect all the answsers are already there NRS wants to make this a really good re-boot .... I'm just hoping for all the arena's and original music (remixed) now
