Wasnt sure where to post this, so here is a thread for posting news not big enough for its own thread or random tweets from Team MK, etc.

So HEC went to go buy DJ Hero @ Midnight last night.....

Hec seems to be just quoting what the GameStop person said, which is just about normal knowledge now. Hec was joking about how over the top it is, which I've heard IS REALLY over the top.
 
No. You should drive your face straight into the keyboard, until every single key pops out.

Nothing really new to report about the game, as we already know it's going to be darker and geared towards a mature audience. Unfortunately for you, Timmay, the game will likely be in 3D.
 
Hi guys. I have been working with Boon for the past few months and I can say that there will be 4 new characters to the roster. In total, there will be 16 characters. And your two favorite ninjas will be among them.

I am at a complete loss as to where to stand on that statement. On the one hand, this is one post that would be easily found with minimal searching by anyone looking to quickly throw you in a dungeon for it. On the other hand, it could be a blatant lie. And still on another hand (if you've got more) it could be simply so innocuous and seemingly speculative that the powers that be might not care.

Regardless, I have no idea whether to believe you or not.

Still, the lack of news on MK9 is to blame for everything. I was expecting the E3 to have something, but the first few early E3 things are leaking out already about now and theres nothing new to add.
 
Early E3 things? It's bloody November! E3 isn't for nearly a year. How could they leak bloody well anything?
 
Finally, they have the time to make the game. its not being rushed by a company in finanically desperate need to have the title out before Xmas to make money regardless if the "finiished" product is quality or not.

Let them take there time to marinade it. I'm in no hurry for new info. Sure it would be cool, but there is plenty of good stuff out there to keep my mind occupied.

Also, please, lets keep this thred to FACTUAL INFO and not jokes, bsing and opinions. This is not what the thread was intended for.

All I know is someone is leaking stuff that was intended for it. Which means the leaks won't even be identical to their E3 form usually. Lol, the love of vague early stuff we can't even relate too. You know the drill with these things. I just hear about them on the video game forums. Never anything related to MK though. Then again, its only on a MK forum we get peace from insults.

Not being rushed to met demands is a plus for any game Pat. I'm still living with the insulting disaster to SEGAs Sonic the Hedgehog francise that was Sonic the Hedgehog '06. Mind if rumours be true on THAT particular game, the BETA testers that said the game was crap was fired in favour to those that would say the game is good. I don't know a game where a rush for X-mas was a good result. I'd rather see games delayed (but not like C+C T.Sun) for better results but then again the problem with delayed is being dated by the time of release.
 
The X-mas rush has ruined many a great game. KotOR 2 comes to mind readily. So much content was cut from that game...only a couple months ago did the modding community finally finish it all. That's YEARS after the game was released. That's how much work had to go into making it "complete".
 
In the UK you sometimes see it also for the summer holiday, getting out before the kids leave for their 6 week break. Kids are the biggest pushers of games.
 
Aww.... I feel sorry for the kid who sent the letter. But life's tough and thats an unimportant character anyway. :-3
 
Wait... Why is a kid playing MK? I know we all played it when we was young, but there wasn't age limits then.
 
Maybe not in your underdeveloped country.

Over here, though, we had ratings on the MK games, even before the ESRB was created. Sega had their own system (MK1 was rated MA-13, while the rest were MA-17), and I believe Nintendo even had to create one specifically for MK.
