Official Street Fighter Thread

I saw a few, but opted not to pick them up. I did the Xbox 360 dpad mod and quite happy with the results. Just makes the Fierce buttons hard to do without some remapping.
 
I think I got how to unlock Akuma.

- Unlock everyone but Akuma, Gouken and Seth
- Beat the game with a unlocked character you beat the game with previously with one perfect Match. Without using a continue.

No need for Ultras Finishes, beating the game with everyone, etc.

Got Gouken

- Beat the game with any character you beat the game with previously with one perfect Match and three Ultra Combo Finish matches. Also without using a continue.
 
I got a fightpad and all i can say is, AWESOME! It really is that good. I can do Bisons left-right-Punch move without accidentally hitting up on the dpad. Moves are really easy to pull off. If you dont have one, get one! Especially if you have SFIV on 360.

I unlocked Akume and Gouken tonight, it was pretty easy. Pat i did more than what you said. I did 2 perfects and 2 ultra finishes to get Akuma and 2 perfects and 3 ultra finishers to get Gouken. Obviously not all that was needed, but i put it on easiest so it only took me one try for each character.

But this game isnt so easy. Im on level 8 in survival and level 9 in time challenges and they are really hard. I dont know if i will ever be able to unlock color costumes 7-10. :(

Sounds good to me. Have you tried it with UMK3 yet? I know the button mapping would be incredibly screwy for it, but I'm still curious.

I might have to try that, especially since my wireless controller refuses to stay connected and I've stopped using it, so I could practice on that D-pad without being worried about completely ****ing it up. Personally, I've always mapped the fierce attacks to Y and B, leaving the mediums to the bumpers/triggers as I use them the least.

Whaddaya know, I got the game. I wasn't going to just yet, but I did, and it's really f*cking good.
Do we really have to stare at Rufus' pubic hair though?
 
Does the graphics look very alike to the Arcades? I went to the arcades the other day and damn! it looked very pretty.
 
A question. In C. Viper's ending, she refers to Seth as a number. Does he have anything to do with Twelve from SFIII?
Also, I got the UK HMV Exclusive packaging, with a cardboard sleeve. if anyone wants to see it let me know.

Nah Seth is a clone of many. So there are really a ton of seths, and they are numbered individually. So thats the reason for his number. you will find out more in his ending.

Just played online for a while. 338 bp now, 17 wins 54 losses, 2 game win streak. eh... yeah im not too good.
 
I've got Akuma, but I'm working on Seth before I even attempt Gouken. You don't need the perfect against seth, that guide's misleading.
I've realise after playing with Akuma that he's pretty much the only way to get Gouken too, as his Ultra is really easy to pull off and rediculously over powered
 
Is it still LP, LP, F, LK, FP? After all this time I can pull off that move like it's my thumb's natural reflex action, so I just gots to know.

Yeah it's still that.

I also have no trouble with the QCF, QCF, P+P+P Ultras, pretty simple and I barely ever mess up and do a dragon punch instead of the Super/Ultra.
