Why does no one like the announcer voice?

Of course her tits are basically falling out. In fact, the outfit isn't very practical. They should be falling out.

While it is my favorite Mileena look, it's certainly not a very good outfit. However, she is more clothed there than she is in MK:2011. And of course, it's more stylish and creative than her cheap-ass 2011 costume.
 
Okay to everyone complaining about Mileena's skimpiness, GET OVER IT, Sex is what sells in today's society, so people should be used to it by now. NR studios isnt just catering to us hardcore fans, they want mainstream gamers, and obviously theyre gonna use sex appeal with the femal characters to attract them to buy the game.

Can we get back on topic with the announcer voice now?

Terrible logic. Yeah, sex sells... But they could at least show some respect for the characters. To be near naked is just uncreative and boring.

I don't think sex is their selling point with this game. Maybe if Sonya and every other female are in the same nonexistent costume that Mileena is in. But I can't see that happening. And if it does... Ciao, MK.
 
the problem with milina from my point of view is this> she is suppost to be the evil twin, a clone of kitana gone wrong, and for this i think with her disfigurement she would not be interested in fancy skimpy clothing, seeing her act like an animal in a skimpy polished suit does not make sence, and since she is the runt of the litter so to speak her costume should be all tatterd and torn like she dosent care about maintenance,

thats just my opinion id like to see her in more of a underground costume, something darker, not the squeaky clean one with high heels

Mileena has dressed like that since her return in
MK:D. You don't like it? gtfo

Terrible logic? Who the hell are you to judge? All i see is you trolling all over each topic in these forums criticizing people who do not share the same views as you :S, what i said makes sense, suck it up. And sex is the a major, if not the most major selling point in every mature form of entertainment in this day and age.

Agree, wish Steve kame back to be shao kahn n as the announcer, it was dark n gritty. Dont like the announcer since then but some reason they can't get him back it must be the money.. MK 9 needs a change it sounds too much like MK vs DC announcer.. same with the Fatality music.
 
I think its kind of obnoxious how this topic spreads and rears its ugly head in other topics. As i have said before in other forums i think this is something that is kind of silly to argue about. We are arguing that we know the characters and how they would dress better than the people who actually created them. Ed Boon (aka the man) and the rest of the mk team and i trust they know what they are doing and support the decisions they have made. Not too psyched about kratos but hey ill give it a chance. I actually like all the new outfits...ha ha maybe except reptiles but i don't think anyone likes it, it doesn't ruin the game for me though. We really should keep this argument in its perspective topics though and im sorry i helped contribute to this topic's delinquency.

As for Shao Kahn's voice i actually really approve. Its kind of intense and has a lot of angry and power feeling in it. Not as boomy and immortal sounding as prior games but i think it will serve quite nicely in the coming years

I agree, initially i hated it, but then they improved it a bit, and now its grown on to me, i really like it. I guess they were looking for a change, the voices from MK:DA - MK Vs. DC have been so damn generic, weve heard it over and over again. Thank god this voice veers away from the voices of those games. The way the announcer says "FIGHT" is reminiscent of MK2 & MK3 because he says it quickly, whereas in MK:D - MK Vs. DC, it sounded dragged.
 
I actually like the new voice, and i'm getting tired of people complaining that the voice is not dark enough when it clearly is. So please shut up and be thankful what the NRS team is giving us. I would rather let them work on the gameplay aspect than the voice over for the announcer!

I would love that, but I have serious doubts he'll be able to do it again. He suffers from tinnitus (symptom that alters his hearing), thus disabling him to work in the audio field.
 
I am ok with the voice, its not exactly how I would prefer it but its not something I am going to dwell over everytime I hear it, it could be worse we could be stuck with the voice from Super Street Fighter II.
 
it's the exact same voice used for the match announcer in MK vs DC.

going back to Steve Ritchie would have been epic.
