both skarlet and ermac are accidents and weren't intended characters by design. they are fads and rumors which nrs then made actual characters from. nrs can do exactly the same with this guy, in fact nrs is infamous for doing this: turning fads into characters.
is khrome a bad idea and design? probably. tremor was bad and they made him work. skarlet was a god awful idea and yet they made it work. ermac wasn't even an idea it was a debugger and look they made a character out of it, based on nothing but fan gossip. i don't understand why some people are so offended by this idea. it certainly is better than the majority of dumb fanfics and fan characters that have been accumulated in the past 10 years.
Ermac was a glitch, which Ed Boon trolled in MKII, much like how he trolled Reptile in MK1 with all the coded messages.
In fact, in MKII there was even a coded message that spelled out "Ermac does not exits."
It wasn't until UMK3 that they finally decided to make Ermac a playable character, once John Turk was hired to play the role of the masked ninjas.
Skarlet was a glitch, that much like Ermac, they decided to capitalize on.
What do Ermac and Skarlet have in common?
They're official Midway / NRS created characters, whereas Khrome is not.
Yeah, and Khrome is just another dumb fanfic / fan character.
Too much of the silver mixed in with the gold in a factory that made Smoke Statues, and a few people jumped on it.
That's all there is to Khrome.
Tremor, at least, had a moveset to work with from Special Forces and actually exists in the MK universe.
Hydro is more of an MK character than Khrome will ever be, because Hydro was at least an MK / Malibu comics comic book character / lore character, whereas Khrome is not, regardless of me not caring for Hydro either.

The question that was asked was in regard to having Frost as DLC in MKX, and it translates to NONE of those characters ever being DLC for MKX, which Ed kinda sneaked Baraka in with the Alien "Tarkatan" variation, so...........
Again, way to twist Ed Boon's words, to make it seem like he said something that he never said.
Plus, I find it kind of funny that Ed Boon doesn't spell Khrome with a "C," like all of the Khrome fans do.
You'd think that he know how to spell the name of a character that HE created, right?
