Obviously it's MK9 Raiden. I just posted the video because it pretty much showcases how fast-paced Raiden is when using teleport a lot. You can do a lot of trick combos, escape from the corner by teleporting behind the enemy and putting him in the corner himself etc. It's just an example WHY I gonna use Displacer Raiden. The dude in the video really kicks ass with all that fast teleporting, and im pretty sure such moments will be in MKX too while using Displacer :) Also from reading some of the posts in varations thread, I saw a lot of people claiming that Teleports will be available Only for Displacer version, so that makes me want it even more badly.

MK X Raiden looks leaps and bounds better than MK9 Raiden.
MKX Raiden is much faster than his MK9 counter part, and even if he doesn't have teleports in the other variations, he still has his Electricity move and Flying Torpedo move in every variation.
No one knows for sure yet if the Teleport is only available for the Displacer variation, or if the other 2 variations also have it.
People are just assuming that because it wasn't showcased in the reveal trailer.
 
I never liked Raiden and i almost never play with him. So i don't really care about him. But those lighting "traps" in the MKX are silly and dumb imo.
It takes so much time for him to make them and only a fool would jump right on them.
 
You can set the traps at multiple angles, and don't have to set them off immediately.
So you can get a knockdown, set an orb, get another knockdown, lay down one more orb and create the arc whenever you want.

Indeed he's very fast in MKX, and super fast in his Displacer version. Like Ed Boon said - it's hard to contain him in his teleporting version. I really gonna love it because I loved how Raiden was in MK9 already.. This is just awesome for every Raiden player who likes to play very offensive and do a lot of pressure.
 
Raiden is awesome. I think NRS will do justice to his immense ability, all of his variations are stunning.

And I'm still hoping for him to be more offensive on story mode, he's a character that knows responsability, even being a god.

Specially after MK:D, Raiden took a responsability becoming a protagonist he has never been, always being an instructor.

He needs to kick 'villains' and show his power. Ok, he messed the timeline, but this time he needs to go to the fight, show why he is the most unique god of MK pantheon.

I will probally main Scorpion, but surely will try master Raiden.
 
for some reason im thinking they're gonna bring out a shaoling figther like a descendant of liu kang or kung lao but if not I think raiden will be one of my main. storm lord raiden has teleporting I just dont think its at will it looks like its linked with certain special moves.

Sad experience indeed. Here where I play I play against some kickass players that use Raiden (kinda like in the video) that doesn't do same shit over and over again, they know how to use raiden - so do I. I get what you say, it's kinda annoying to see dumb raiden player just spam same superman move which is very punishable, so is teleport if not used when it's really needed.

Teleporting works like a charm for me when getting out of the corner and teleporting behind the enemy to put HIM in the corner and make some sick combo at the same time. Or when enemy starts shooting projectiles, if your reaction and timing is good, you can get instantly behind him and start combo while he haven't even finished his projectile animation.
