Who wants to see Earthrealm as the antagonist

Not only that, Ed Boon himself said that the timeline skewed and that this is an alternate timeline, per the interview with TRMK (on the front page) and The Kombat Tether.
 
I would like to see Earthrealm in the antagonist spot, sure. It would definitely change things up a bit. Tired of other realms being the big bad threat to Earth... Like we're all innocent and good. Pffft.

Though I definitely wouldn't want to see some big shot military figure running the show. I'm sick of the cigar smoking, over sized gun wielding meathead villains.
 
I can actually see Earth becoming the villain faction if Liu Kang becomes the Evil Fire God in his MK9 ending.

Liu Kang becomes a god...he becomes corrupted by the power...He sets his sights on other realms...he challenges other realms (Outworld, Edenia, Seido etc.) to Mortal Kombat...Liu Kang has become what he was trained to fight against- a tyrant. Another Shao Kahn.

That would be a brilliant plot for MK11, don't you think?
 
But that wouldn't make Earthrealm the antagonists. I doubt Liu Kangaroo can convince the entirety of Earthrealm to invade other realms.

He can always round up a band of thugs (Black Dragon, Red Dragon, the Shokan, Tarkatans, Shao Kahn loyalists, the Cyborgs, etc.) and make them his champions. Plus, lets say he kills Raiden in MKX like in his MK9 ending, he can strike a deal with Quan Chi (granted he ain't dead by the end of MKX) and have Raiden revived and brainwashed to do his bidding as well, making the fallen thunder god his trump card.

I mean this thread isn't about about a realm being a threat or anything.

First of all having the main villain a human doesn't make earthrealm an antagonist (e.g. MK1.)
Second of all your theory suggests that Liu Kang would be in his god form? Thus he's a god not human, not to mention he wouldn't be bound to any one realm.

Therefore this is pretty redundant and hardly follows the notion of making Earthrealm an antagonist.
 
Liu Lang couldn't unite Earthrealm. Most of the world has no idea that the Mortal Kombat tournaments even exist, let alone the fact that he is the champion of it.

Dude they still don't know anything.
All they know is that some how monsters/aliens/demons came and invaded earth and some how it ended.
They don't know anything about realms, tournaments or Outworld hell they don't even know who Raiden and shao kahn even are.
