who is too strong?

Ive noticed through casual play that it seems a few char. don't have to work much at all to get big damage, (raiden) and some have just way too many great tools ( kung lao). is it just me? correct me if im wrong but for example, kung lao has 1 of the best jump kicks, 1 of the best anti-air moves, a port for defence, and is 1 of the fastest. that's alot of top 5's. is it suppose to be that some char. are handicapped on purpose to make them not equal [that tier thing]? and if so, were's the fun in that? (nothing against kung lao ppl. i was just using him as an example).
 
Agree 100% with Kung lau his damage potential is off the chart seems speed means a lot more in the mk world then power hence why jax is at a major disadvantage problem is every basic attack in mk no matter the characters speed deals the same damage and Kung lau and raiden have two of the fastest specials in the game while the strong man of the group is hampered by a slower attack style that doesn't equate to equal damage out put
 
people just need to learn to play the game it's not ment to be easy if it was it be called call of duty.
 
Fact of the matter is as it stands now Kung laus highest damage none xray combo is around 87% damage if that's not overpowered I don't know what is
 
I dont think raidens overpowered, sure you can get a 41% midscreen, no meter combo with Raiden, but you can get 42% midscreen, no meter combo with ermac and 48% midscreen, no meter combo with reptile. Also you can turn that 42% combo with Ermac into 57% with Ex specials and 60% with Xray. With reptiles 48% combo you can ad Ex specials to make that combo into a 59% damage and 63% with Xray. With raiden you cant even link any Ex specials into his combos to make them more damaging, meaning 41% his highest midscreen combo you can get and with Xray you can only get 50%. No where near as good as Kung Lao Ermac and Reptile.

Sindel, definately. I have a technique going on where in order to get the story endings I beat fights 1-9 with Reptile, then swap out the Shao Kahn fighter for the ending I want. Then I quickly find out what combination of combos and supers deal some great damage.

Sindel has some ridiculously powerful 4-5 hit combos.
 
Kung Lao's very, very versatile. But I think if he's going to get nerfed, then Ermac ought to be nerfed too. He's nearly unstoppable if you get the 2,1,Teleport Slam, Jump Kick, Teleport Punch, Teleport Punch based combos down.

And for an FPS CoD's not super-easy, it just gives way too many non-shooter ways to kill, like gunships and bombs. Great for variety in competitive play but there's a huge difference between clearing up three dudes with a mid-range rifle and pressing one button on behalf of your team and wiping out the entire other team.

Im a PS3 player anyway, like i said Sindel and Kabal are overpowered.

Sheeva and Baraka are the least powered, their should be tuned up, specally Baraka, Sheeva i dont care, im ok with she sucking, she took Rain's spot...
 
Sindel is far from overpowered sure she's fast but here combos are far from as deadly as Kung lau and raidens and as a ps3 player sure kratos is overpowering but he's slow as hell and he only has one pop up
 
Ermac and Kabal I don't know. Kabal can spam the Dash/Run move and then get his hooksword combos with alot of damage. Ermac as previosly stated can teleport alot in his combos. Sindel, is just annoying. Low Blast, Normal Blast, jump Blast. 'Nuff said.

I think Kung Lao is too powerful. Either that or to fast. If they tone power down a little bit, then he would be fine. Sheeva should be more powerful because she is the slowest in the game. Baraka, no thanks. He has realy good wake up attacks and with a power boost he could be unstoppable.
 
SCORPION!

Come on guys, I know it's kind of a given but Scorpion is probably the best character in the game, but not in a good way. No his combos and X-Rays are not the most powerful, but his moves are amongst the best and easiest to use, and he's FAST!

1. He has an unblockable move with the fire that comes from the ground so its hard to see coming -- Not many characters have unblockables special moves, and it seems to hit you sometimes even when your moving which is BS.
2. Teleport -- This move is so overused by many players, and when it lags online it can be very hard to see coming and block.
3. He has a very simple set of moves that are easy to chain together
4. He's X-Ray is a freakin teleport, so it can be very tricky trying to block it. One of the easiest X-Rays to land in the game.
5. His spear is faster than it's ever been.

I could keep going but I think you guys got the drift. I personally hate Scorpion, and it's not because my fav character is Sub. It's because Scorpion has ALWAYS been the easiest character to use and EVERYBODY uses him. I get tired of fighting him.

High combo percentages isn't the only thing to factor in when deciding if a character is unbalanced. Raiden's teleport its way too fast and can be abused easily, same with his superman.

Fully agreed. But I don't think he's overpowered, he's just easy to use. He's the icon of MK so they made him simple to use. It's an easy transition for noobs to remove their pacifiers and pick up a controller and use Scorpion. haha
