What would you do?

Honestly I would of fought back. I was always taught to defend myself and to never let people bully me around. This man handle a situation the way only a true man can. Thank you for posting this article. I think I just learned something from reading this
 
I would've maced the SOB, and then kicked his ass! I may have taken karate lessons just to be the coolest kid in school back when I was in grade school, but I take those lessons seriously to this day!
 
I think he handled it well, though I would probably have gone into defense mode, as opposed to just handing my stuff over and offering him dinner.
 
Plus, handing someone your wallet like that carries potentially dangerous consequences in the future, depending on what's in it. That's why it's in your best interest to fight back in that situation.

Who knows how valid that actual story is, why would the teen turn back? While Julio Diaz looks like a burly dude, and def could have done damage to a teenager, that was a great story. Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soul feel good. I feel better after reading it. I would have done the same thing, if I had thought of it at the time.
 
Hand over the money.

My life is worth more than the money in my wallet. I don't care if I'm freakin Jet Li, the guy could have a gun and next thing you know I'm gone.
 
I would have defended myself. Not every mugger is going to act nice and polite afterwards if you show them the same respect, nor will they want your help, so why take the chance. If he had a gun then I would give him my money without a fight.
