What happened to Taven in the 1st timeline?

In the 1st timeline Taven defeated Blaze and received god-like power. The thing that I don't get is how did Shao Kahn obtain Blaze's power? Did Shao Kahn somehow stole taven's power? Also how did Shao Kahn escape Onaga?
 
Welcome to the wonders of a the Mortal Kombat timeline lol. My best guess is that they're not treating Armageddon's Konquest mode as canon. Who knows how Khan escaped Onaga. Punched him in the face? Again I think they're just choosing to treat those specifics of Armageddon as though they didn't happen.
 
One never knows who "won" the last MK game until the next one comes out. As it turns out, Liu Kang won MK1, 2, 3, and 4. Li Mei won MKDA, but then Raiden stepped in and tried to kill the deadly alliance outside the scope of the tournament. Nightwolf won MKD I think, my memory's a bit fuzzy on MKA...it wasn't a good game. And now we know Kahn won MKA. That's just how it goes.

MK:D wasn't a tournament... I think. In MK:A's Konquest mode Taven defeated Blaze and became full god, but I don't know how Shao Kahn stole the power from Taven.
 
Hopefully whatever Raiden did altered the MK universe enough to were all those forgetable post mk3 characters never existed.

Well Mk3 wasnt a tounrnament neither.

Hope he dies to never coming back, that was one of the lamest characters ever along with mokap, kobra, mavado and so many others.
