What are your opinions of Kratos?

Hey guys I couldnt find a thread that was just about the new Kratos gameplay, what do you guys think, I think he looks fun as hell. I cant wait to play as hime, Kratos is perfect for MK.
 
I liked him, but he seems incredibly overpowered (may have been done in purpose specifically for the trailer but...we'll have to wait an see).
 
He does look sick as hell. I had my doubts but after seeing him in action I can't lie, he looks like a fun character to play.
 
Looks like he has 9 special attacks.

And on principle hes a nice addition, it will sell copies and be good for MK all around. If you dont like him then dont unlock him in the krypt.
 
I'm torn. As a huge God of War fan it's fun to see him in the game and all but, like others, I sort of wish they would've just kept it MK characters.

Also I wasn't really digging how he constantly uses his blades the whole time. I was hoping for more hand to hand attacks.

Anyway, I'm not looking forward to playing against him 95% of the time online. That will get old fast.
 
wasnt there an initial Kratos discussion way back when he was initially revealed? no..? well, anyway, i dont really care much for him. he looks decent, but i wont be using him. his arena looks cool too and supposedly (from the Official Playstation Magazine from January), ed said itlll have "one of the most intricate stage fatalities we've seen in an MK game", which sounds cool
 
I was one of the people who was really against him being in, but holy shit. He looks awesome. The qte's and all of his moves look really good. And after playing through God Of War 3, they couldn't have picked a better stage for him. When I was at the final part against zues on that platform, I couldn't help but think of mk.
 
before i say anything i wanna say i have xbox and i'm not a PS3 hater....but seriously at first i knew Kratos was perfect for MK. idk what it was about this gameplay but it seemed like it wasn't what i expected to see. probably because i was waiting for him to just rip the guys face off right when they said "fight" lol.....i just hope they dont try to do anything dumb with xbox exclusive character(s); if any. just keep it MK. also...anyone got an idea of his fatality?...i was trying to figure out the next part of it. only showed a clip.

lastly! his stage is sick....
 
The fact of the matter is that Kratos can only do good for NeatherRealm studios. Because there will be a few people out there that might just buy MK9 just to play as Kratos. Which means it can bring a lot more people into the MK universe which in turn will create more and better fighters. It will also create higher sales which will bring more DLC for us. And for the those of you people that are not looking forward to playing against Kratos, I suggest you step up your game and put them in there place.
 
He looks like a fun character I think he is a great edition to the game and I hope he is the last edition to MK :/

thats exactly how i feel. in the end, the more people buy the game and the more attention it gets, the better chances of us getting good-quality MKs is. even if it means including a character from another series to boost sales lol
 
I never got into the gods of war games, but he does look like he fits in MK. Can't wait to see his fatalities. I'm sure he has fun with those axes.
 
Indifferent before this gameplay trailer, but he does look pretty cool. Will try him out at least a couple times.

i agree...im glad they are only doing it for his character and not all....but they make him stand out. as he should. either way he looks sick. cant wait to see people's combo video on youtube using him.
 
Not feeling that hes getting these exclusive QTE's and stuff like that, but he does look beastly indeed. Too powerful IMO, he should be banned for ranked matches online.
