Just stating the obvious here, but never EVER has a developer implemented so much wishes and demands of long-time MK fans.

I mean, all fan favorites are here, we got 2D gameplay, the Krypt, a decent story mode, online play, classic soundtrack, costumes, etc, etc.

NRS has really listened to the fans and it shows. Everyone LOVES this reboot, because of the simple fact the game is so full of stuff there is something to please anyone.

I just got this to say:

The fact that they excluded all those ridiculous characters they started putting out after MK 3 helped a lot, at least for me.

I agree. This game is great, and even though there are some things that I'd change, I don't have anything to really ***** about with this game. This is really the closest they (or anyone) has ever gotten to pleasing everyone, and that feat alone is commendable.

I'll wait until I actually play the game before declaring it god's gift to gamers....

but I am pretty hype...

Yeah, NRS basically just took a big flaming dump on Capcom.

If MK9 is actually balanced decently for high-end competitive play, Street Fighter is officially on notice. I think this game is really going to make Capcom have to step it up a notch, especially after the content-free wasteland that was MvC3.

Still a really fun game, don't get me wrong, but ALL it is is basically 1v1 arcade mode or online battles, nothing else.

The WORK they did is epic. And as a testament to that fact, this game itself will be a timless milestone in Video game history.
Just as the original Mortal kombat games are.

NRS is above and beyond, they are the digital pioneers. For, they have crafted our dreams into pure gold.
 
i agree totally. i am more excited about this game than any other i can remember. with the exclusion of rain, they have done just about everything i wanted in a mortal kombat game. now if they do the arcade collection it will really be awesome!

This game certainly has it all and more, what an achievement for NRS to kick back for a bit and see this baby now go off into the world and see how it goes they deserve alot of success from this title, and it looks like the competition have been completely blown away for now. This game is raising the bar in terms of graphics presentation, variety and gameplay.... I cannot wait until I get to go through the games modes when it arrives in the postbut nevertheless everything I have seen is top notch fan-service game and even though I still don't have the game I still want to see more!!!

I Really hope most if not all the missing content from the MK Trilogy is re-imagined along with everything that featured afterwards that was a big success and MK will still be getting DLC long into the future...

I completely agree. They actually listen instead of taking their fans for granted and completely ignoring them.
