Used game block rumors gaining strength

I seem to have caught myself agreeing with Tarkatan Trash more than I normally do, but I also agree with going to a friend's place with a game, rather than bringing the whole damn f****** console with you.

Imagine this scenario:

John:
"Hey, Commander. A few of the guys and I were going to order some pizza, chicken wings and beer and thinking of getting a few rounds of Mortal Kombat in before the shitty Dolphins game. Wanna bring your game and hang out?"

Commander: "Sure, John. Let me just disconnect my whole console, the controllers (I keep them charged), the power cable and the HDMI cable, pack it up, and I'll be there after all of that shit is in my car."

**Commander gets to John's house**

Commander: "Oh, cool. The pizza, wings and beer have arrived. Just give me a little while to set all this shit up, AGAIN."

Then I'd have to disconnect it all again to put it all away, to then set it up at my house again. -___- LAME

except that'd be completely avoidable if it were linked to an account.

Say you can go to your friends house, and his console. and you just log onto your account.

granted you'd probably have to DL the game to his console, but even though it's taking up space. He can't access yoru games w/o your info.

then only friends that you share your info with can play your games.

But at the cost tha tyou can't play them at the same time in two different houses. Cuz you can't log in at 2 places at once.

I can't imagine they'd go only digital. Not everyone has an internet connection.

I can't remember who it was. It was either AlphaOmegaSin or Adam Kohvic that had a genius idea o full digital for the next gen,but having stores and kiosks where you could take a special console specific flash drive, card or stick to the kiosk, make a purchase and have it copied to your memory device. Kinda like a Red Box. Seems like a great idea if you ask me

Yeah, If gamestop get's shafted I could see them going the Kiosk direction for people who don't have Internet.

Pay a small fee to DL it from the kiosk.

Believe it or not, there was a report a few months ago that stated that Sony actually did consider going all-digital for their next console, but ultimately decided against it. I hope Sony and MS don't go as far as requiring an always-on connection (this is ESPECIALLY hurtful to rural residents, who are forced into having sub-standard internet connections because ISPs flat-out refuse broadband service to them simply because of where they live).

I know that feel exactly. I was willing to pay far out the ass to get a quality internet connection upgrade, but my provider completely refused all requests. So I'm still stuck with this laggy bullshit.

Same with the 360 indie games. I made the mistake of buying one, only to find out that if I'm not connected to Live, the 80 MB game wont work. Complete horse apples.
