Whats your WPM?

I can do between 120 and 130 WPM when I'm doing something out of my head. If I have to type off of a paper it slows down to about 100 or 90. I've done 155 before, but thats only once in awhile.

Boring Luke trivia: Luke types using the Dvorak layout at home and at work.

You don't need Dvorak keyboards, you can set Windows (and the others) to use it as your keyboard layout with any standard keyboard.

My average is 175wpm, because I'm awesome. That's off of a pre-written source.

From my head it drops down to like, 135, since I barely have any thoughts to type.

100% accuracy rate, of course.

I can't remember...in 6th grade I was second highest...

Now it is probably past 130, that's just a random guess.

Hey yeah, where are you people testing yours? Don't just assume you're faster than you were a few years ago. My school has a typing program that gives us our WPM every lesson we do. Its called MicroTypePro

We had something like that MKM, I think the same program too.

I was just guessing, throwing in the 6th grade thing was my way of typing while thinking...

Depends if there is big words in it or not =P Really, i can probably average about 120 in free flow, and for some strange reason, im quicker typing from a piece of paper, usually getting around 140-150 WPM

Do you type numbers and symbols fast? I don't mean the keypad either, I mean the numbers above the letters. I hate typing numbers. I can't ever hit the exact key. The typing program in keyboarding class is so frustrating. You have to key it exactly or else it will start over.

Yes i type them fast, and i dont have a keypad, as i have a laptop....also, try slowing down, so that you do get it right, and then when you have good accuracy, work up the speed at which you type.
