TRMK Armageddon Tournament thread

Hmmm I talked to my bro about it but I'm confused..

I have cable connection and not DSL so will that work?

Also he tells me to play online you need to pay monthy subscription. I think he's wrong but he doesn't want me to argue with him.

Please clear this up for me so I know that if there's monthy payment I can never play online

Cable modems go in as a cable like you use on the TV, but on the way out it uses a thick phone cord type that plugs into your PC/PS2 adapter. Playing online with PS2 is free, no hidden charges at all.

Thanks man though convincing him will be a problem he thinks you have to pay.

He's wrong. Fees are for massive mutiplayer games, like final fantasy and crap like that,MK Armageddon is not gonna be that.

I'll gladly host the TRMK Armageddon Xbox Tournament. I'm getting the game tomorrow, so it'll be fun. I'll work on a layout. Whoever wishes too enter, IM me so I have an idea of how many will be participating.

Edit: I whipped up a quick picture to put some information. I'll probably make a thread later today:

WHOA dude, the 20th? That's kinda soon. I mean will our European members even have time to make a good KAK by that time? Will anybody?

Well, if it's for Xbox I'll definitely see if I can compete but I have a term paper to do that weekend (the teach hands it out on the 20th) so a postponement would suit me. But I don't speak for everybody.

I have the slim PS2, a cable modem and a PC. Time to help Kona get online, because he is slow.

I have a WebStar cable modem. Coming out of it is a power cord, a phone jack, and a big cord kinda like the kind I use for my TV. The power cord goes into the outlet...duh, the phone cord is going into my PC, and the big cord is going into the floor. So....what do I disconnect or connect or buy to get online?

Sorry guys but since I have a slim PS2 I need to ask these.

1. When I do get a network adapter what wire do I use to connect it to something and what the heck do I have to connect it to? My router?
2. What is this about a cd is it included with the adapter?
3. What is this about an ID is it included as well with the adapter?

I'm picking up an adapter tomorrow as well as MKA for the Ps2. I'll let you know all the information I have once I get it working myself.
Here's what I assume (before purchasing the adapter):

1.You use an ethernet cable, I believe the adapter comes with the cable, if not, it's those blue cables with two RJ-45 jacks at the end.

2. I believe some of the adapters came with Twisted Metal: Black. If that isn't what the CD is, it could be something to update the Playstation 2's Hard drive.

3. The ID I believe is the Voucher on or in the box of the Network Adapter. You use this, along with your PS2's serial number to register your adapter.

Edit: Alright, I edited it because I'm not getting the xbox version. I'll be inviting myself like a gnat and host the tournament with Snow. I'm going to make a new thread, and if there are any moderators/administrators willing to discuss the prize, I'm all ears.

Well, I purchased a used one. For the fat (I'm not sure if it's the same for slim) you just put it in the expansion bay, and load the cd. You'll need an ethernet cable with one end to your router and one to your ps2.

When you start up the disc, it'll ask for like password and username, use your ISP username and password.

Hmm where is the PS2 serial number located?

Also any luck in finding out about it remember I use a slim PS2

Uhh, the slim PS2 already has the ethernet adapter built into it.

Just connect it to the hub/switch/router that your computer is connected to using an ethernet cable.

I didn't get the adapter yet but I'm still confused lol.

I think I found the adapter but no one answered where I can find the PS2 serial key.

Damn this game is fun :D

I have some questions:

1. is it possible when falling on a bank to run away from that pulveriser?
2. is it possible to land on my feet when falling of?
3. where can i find all the red items? of konquest

if you cant answer the first 2 then i dont care.. but please the 3rd cause i need those items badly

thanks
