Tri-Borg origins THEORY.........

Question: Would you WANT Triborg to be canon? Do you WANT him to replace the cyber ninjas?

Personally, I wouldn't. I'd rather Sektor and Cyrax returned somehow.

I wouldn't necessarily say that WANT that, per se, but I'm thinking of it as more of a "what if' scenario.

Commander About Noob Saibot, There's no way the writers have this masterplan about the soulnado/Noob and waiting to reveal it in a dlc character's bio or even two games later. I say two games later because I don't think he's going to have anything to do with Tri-Borg and possibly the Tekunin. Why would they bring him back just for a characters biography. They are bringing him back, wouldn't you rather it be done in a more grand way? Like being playable  I'd say he's as good as dead until he does return. And we all know he will evetually. So him dying in the soulnado is no concern. That would be the second time he died. Second. I hope to see him, in some fashion, in MK11.

I see where you're coming from with Noob, but in all honesty, I just used him as an example of having the cyber "ninjas" at his disposal because he's done it in the old timeline.
I went into this theory thinking Noob or anyone else.
For Noob, in particular, I was thinking that they could bring him back in either a biography or an ending, much like how Shang Tsung is in some of the character endings in MKX.
Ermac's MKX ending in particular hints heavily at a possible way for Tsung to come back in the next game, and whether or not that ending pans out is a different story.
But I like character endings because until the next game come out they're all just "what if" scenarios, much like my theory.
In the same way, I thought, "Well, what if Noob Saibot (or someone else, perhaps even Frost acting as a traitor) is behind the creation of Tri-Borg?"

EDIT:

Honest question to all.....

Now that Cyber Sub-Zero, Cyrax, Sektor and Smoke are in, do you guys think that the Lin Kuei "Cyber Double Strike" Faction Kill was ever a hint that those 4 would be in, or do you guys think that it's just a mere coincidence?

Was watching the Ketchup vs Mustard matches again today. Noticed at one point, Triborg says "The Cyber Initiative lives on!"

Pretty big hint imo that Triborg is of Sektor's design.

I don't think so, remember in MK9 when they were turned into cyborgs they were all willingly serving, regardless of their previous opinions on the Cyber Initiative (Cyrax).

Huh?
Cyrax was not willing at all.
He left the Lin Kuei in MK9.

Cyrax even said to Sektor in MK9 after they fought "Tell the Grandmaster, 'I am finished.'"
Sektor then told Cyrax "No one leaves the Lin Kuei." and Cyrax then kicked Sektor in the face (knocking him out), and walked away.

What likely happened to Cyrax was that captured by the Lin Kuei robots after that incident (just like Sub-Zero was) and was also turned against his will, much like Sub-Zero.
The ONLY one out of Cyrax, Sektor, and Sub-Zero who was actually WILLINGLY serving was Sektor.
Cyrax wanted nothing to do with the Lin Kuei anymore, and Sub-Zero defected with Smoke (likely on his own against Lin Kuei orders) to find his brother's killer.

Commander is correct. In the new timeline, only Sektor is in favour of the Cyber Initiative, and is considered a villain in MK9. Cyrax - originally Sektor's ally - changes his allegiance once he finds out what the Grandmaster is planning, which is why you play as him and end up fighting Sektor. Cyrax, Smoke and Sub-Zero were all rebelling against the Cyber Initiative; originally Smoke was caught and cyberized, but in the new timeline it was Sub-Zero.

That's what I meant, after he was turned into a cyborg he willingly served, like he was brainwashed or something.

Yes, he was brainwashed, but he didn't willingly serve as a Cyborg.
The Lin Kuei forced him to be turned from human into a cyborg, against his will, and they re-programmed him to be co-operative.
In MK9, Cyrax didn't want anything to do with the Lin Kuei after speaking with Raiden.

Wassup guys, been a while since I last been on. But with this XL, KP2 pack and other stuff i had to get back on right quick!

So i havent read up on whats been written, so if this was answered already I apologize but still can you fill me in with you theories/facts!

Tri-Borg!!!!!!!
What is he?
Is he a NEW Advanced Cyborg who assimilated the moves and abilities of Cyrax, Sektor, Smoke & Sub-Zero?
or
is this just a cheap way for Boon and MKX team jam more characters in?

Don't get me wrong I am really excited for them but after watching the MKast, I already feel like there was more they could have done.
For example- there are 4 Cyborgs but they all share a common X-Ray move. The only thing that is different is the start up for each...Sektor shoots a missile and Cyrax does a bomb blast up close. And there are only 2 fatalities...I mean come on at the very least there could be 4. Once for each (not specific for only 1) Cyborg.

And expect them to still charge $5 for him? I doubt it.
They did exactly what they needed to with Triborg. Give him an X-Ray that makes sense for every robot and fatalities where they all work together.
