Twisted Metal 2 has a special place in my heart. It brings memories of co-op games I used play with my friends.

Although, Mr Grimm has a very powerful special, it's not as reliable as some of the others to me. He usually he has small reserve of specials he store at one time, and they have no homing capability whatsoever...making firing his specials a all-or-nothing scenario.

he's what you might call a more "technical" vehicle/character.

It takes skill to use Mr.Grimm properly more so than like spectre where the missile shot is almost guaranteed. And you get HIGHLY rewarded if you're good with Mr.Grimm. He's a small target so you usually need homing type stuff to hit him if you're good at maneuvering. And if you're accurate shot. You can get REALLy quick kills. It's just if you're horrible at aiming, Mr.Grimm is not for you.

haha that would be worth it if it was possible.

Also another question I bring up. I wonder if each car/vehicle is going to be complicated/different enough it's gonna take work to get good with multiple vehicles. Or if it's well rounded and easy to switch between vehicles?

Like in a fighter you kinda have to main 1-4 characters at most to be effecient with them. So like lets say I play I dunno helicopter, I get really good with it. But it's also a good skill to be diverse.

So should we have like MAINS that we perfect our skills with cars. Or should we struggle to be extremely diverse or have a mix of dedicated drivers and diverse?

I'm pretty sure all the cars handle the same, some are just a little faster than others.
Its their specials and weaknesses that we are really maining.

By weaknesses I mean things like hp and size.
We may not want to use Darkside on the rooftop levels since she can get pushed off due to her gargantuan size, making her an easy target.
And her special is a ram, not so great around ledges

But since Sweet Tooth can fly, I'd say he's a must for the Rooftops.

And I can be one of our teams designated Grimms.
I've been exclusively using him since Twisted Metal 2.

And I have some Darkside experience as well.

Well MK9 they move around the same way, they all uppercut/sweep/jump/ NJP/ Low jab, D4. etc etc.

the only real differences are the special moves. strings as well, but once you learn those you know how to block properly. It's the specials mixed in with the strings that make it so complicated.

But yeah I get the feeling they should be more swappable.

like in FPS games. you can generally easily switch between like a AK47 into a Uzie or something. And probably have similar results.

But then you got those guys who SPECIALIZE in being a good medic/Sniper. That really stand out on a team. Everyone runs out and tries to be a sniper. but those dedicated guys... They can make win/lose clutches.

Know what I'm saying?

I know it mang.

But we'll have to wait for ALL the cars to be revealed to set up our teams.
As of now for Nuke mode its:

(Subject to change of course)

3 Axels
1 Junkyard Dog
2 Snipers (can be in almost any car I think)
2 Choppers
2 Grimms
1 or 2 Sweet Tooth's depending on level

I'd like to toss a Darkside in there too.
Just to have that pushing power/scapegoat on our side.

Not enough heaviness, twistedness, or orchestra. I like that in Twisted Metal, the crazy fast metal and orchestra eqsue music makes it just as good.

Best TM song in my opinion

I think I just fell in love.

Amazing how such a horrible concept has such great music.

I love this one.
So creepy

This one too

Prison Passage was such a b1tch because when the level first started they locked you in a room with 3 other cars all against you :x

Prison passage was the one with the boat?

And I knew you'd love the playground theme :proud:

Yeah you start off on a boat, but then after you kill 3 peeps you get access to the island.

I was playing Black for the first time in years a few days back.
I was getting my ass handed to me!

Something about the Suburbs map really frightened me. I NEVER wanted to play there. I guess cause it was so huge so it was nerve wrecking when it was down to 1v1

Use that shield code!

Lol, I was, but its hard to get the hang of since it only lasts a few seconds.
You have to use right before impact.

Thats the level I was getting ****ed up on
Sweet Tooth was just raping my shit.
He followed me wherever I went and just used his stupid ass mech special.
